College Football News ranks Canes class #3 w/ transfers

Its interesting that they list Jeff Thomas as part of this class.

It is interesting. I can see why they did, but it does beg the follow-up question of - should you factor convincing transfers/draft prospects coming back to school into "recruiting" rankings?

To be honest, who cares?
Recruiting "rankings" are for the fans anyways.
Coaches don't care if they're "ranked" #2, #4, #9, etc. They know if they made their football team better.

All the other crap is just for message boards and media outlets to talk about.

That's not true. Several coaching contracts include bonuses to coaches when they land a top 15 or top 10 class according to Rivals or 247 composite.
 
It’s still a bit insane when you see all our portal upgrades listed together.

Usually you might get one real impact transfer and we got like 7. Crazy.
Saved the class and made us a dangerous team next season if Tate gets his waiver.
