There's no misinformation pertaining to St Judes....I've heard many stories from reputable sources in regards to Goodwill and Salvation Army. Thank God for St Judes...what they do for children is unbelievable.

Arnold Palmer (RIP) was as amazing as he was on the Golf course in regards to him and his family's work with children's debilitating health problems.

I know personally 2 family’s that St Jude’s has helped. They are as advertised an amazing organization that does amazing work.
 
I’d bet there is no standard NIL agreement for the players to compare apples to apples. Devil in the details and kids will see a high number on their offer, but don’t read the fine print of how continued payments will be calculated. I be willing to bet Ruiz/LW has a pretty good contract form they use for all players.

St Jude’s states that families pay nothing - food, travel, lodging, etc.- is 100% accurate. Even families that have the means never get a bill although those families that have the means always pay it forward. One of the families I know did just that.

Up until 2010 or so, Shriner's Hospital didn't even bill insurance because they wanted complete control over treatment. The biggest disaster since ACA has been the demise of the community nonprofit hospital. Fortunately, ones like St Jude and Shriners have been able to stay independent.
 
I’ll be honest: this is what the idea of NIL needs. For us to truly get it right, we need to see what’s wrong with it at a structural level.

If Miami went 8-4/9-3 every year, winning the ACC Coastal five times, would there be enough need to fix it?

If this blows up now, I’m confident enough in the true spirit of NIL and what it means that we’ll learn from this and it can be done properly.

I give to St. Matthews house to help with Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner. and Teen Challenge, Ft. Myers chapter. I personally know the CEO at Teen Challenge and have seen the difference it has made for people fighting addiction. Much higher success rates than typical in and out 28 day programs. Being we are from the same area, I thought you may know something about these two.
 
What concerns me is that many of these athletes will have large tax bills that will go unpaid.

Also, if say UM plays at a USC or UCLA, will the UM player now be liable for Cali taxes? Pro athletes do, and its hard to argue the players are "amateurs".
