Collectives are Cracking

It doesn’t serve UM for me to explain. I sure wish he’d stop picking fights on social media. Everybody has skeletons. One of these really powerful folks at whom he’s taking indirect shots may just decide one day to hit back.
Let me just say.. that powerful guy is screwed if he tried to take an indirect shot at Ruiz. If Ruiz has skeletons this one has
an elephant's graveyard in his closet. He would end him in a second and I will leave it at that.

So a lot of nonprofit organizations are just a scam to enrich the people behind them and dodge taxes?

Shocked Futurama GIF

Ruiz may be obnoxious as crap and loud but he says he’s following the law and clearly has nothing to hide which makes me assume the checks are clearing. Problem is kids maybe won’t be realistic about their market value and think they deserve more than their other teammate. Ask professional players about their sorry teammates getting more than them
Anyone who’s ever had a job with co-workers knows how it feels. It’s part of life. You’re not always going to get what you want and there’s going to be someone getting more than you think they deserve

Exactly. People don't realize Ruiz is a very smart man and knows the laws better than most.

I’ve said from day 1 this isn’t sustainable.

Ppl are going to get burned and it’s going to come crashing down. The only players getting paid in the future will be from legit businesses like it was supposed to be from the jump. Not a bunch of rich ppl putting money in a pile to pay for play.

What’s funny is everyone talks about UM and Ruiz but LW is the one legit company / collective that was around before the NIL world started. The rest? Not so much.

The longer nothing was done about pay for play collectives, the more other schools panicked and didn't want to be left behind......so they quickly threw one together to join the NIL race, likely with very little thought or structure. Just another house of cards for some.

They all say LW will go bankrupt or whatever, i mean, yes could life wallet go bankrupt. I’m willing to bet that the collectives die off wayyyyy sooner

And Ruiz knows this.... which is why he feels he can take a lil shot every now and again. He's the type of Miami booster that the fans of the rest of the college football world is afraid of. Glad he's on our side. Just know this... he's not by himself, he's just the lead singer of the group. :ROFLMAO:

I agree that it’s a no win situation in the social media world and he should tone it down, but I think he is more reactive than picking fights.

Ruiz seems to know what he’s doing. Smart guy. Im always amused by randoms from Twitter who tell him he’s breaking the law, exc. I mean, he’s a lawyer so he probably knows the law.

I do agree to the general premise bc social media is overrun with "experts" and loads of stupid.

That said, just because one may know the laws doesn't mean they don't break them......or at least creatively bend them significantly. We see it all the time. I'm not saying that about Ruiz, just the general comment. I do think Ruiz is working this NIL play the correct way, but it doesn't mean another powerful, smart businessman can't come at him and spin something that puts him in a bad light. I do enjoy/appreciate some of what Ruiz posts. I just don't think all of it is necessary or beneficial to him.
