Coley's last drive on offense was predictably AWFUL

and should have cost them the game. Run run and pass on 3rd and forever. All you need is a first down and the game is over and you choose to run into a 9 man box. Twice. Will not be sad to see the offense get a complete facelift.

Always has been, but who cares he's history. He'll probably get a job as a recruiter under the guise of being a good recruiter and SoFl connections.

I hated the results of that drive too but, was he supposed to pass and risk an incompletion? He had to keep that clock running.

Coley will end up leaving. He should be demoted as OC and stay on as a recruiter, but no one is going to stay and take a demotion. He is a terrible OC.

I agree with the above. I will give him credit for getting Rosier ready after that shytshow last week.

I agree. Horrible, Horrible, Horrible. They are stacking the box and we run right into the teeth of it. We had single coverage and just needed to be aggressive. Play action or something. I hated that possession. It was if they didn't trust Rosier to make a play at all. They trusted the Defense and that has NEVER worked out for us. Lucky for us we got some breaks on the miracle play.

I've never seen anything close to a competent 2 minute drill under Coley.

The guy is a total hack as OC with the talent level he has access too.

Has Coley ever heard of a screen play?

Also, you have a running QB...how about a bootleg or something?

He's on that Patrick Nix level...which is not an easy feat to accomplish.

On that first down play after the onside we ran the ball into a 10 man box. True Story.

The issue is had Duke not had any timeouts...then yes, you run the ball 3 straight times even if they give you a 15 man box...but once again this coaching staff fails miserably to react on the fly to situational football. They simply don't understand down and distance and don't take certain things into account.

Just another example why if Coley is retained as OC I'm officially done with this program. He's the worst OC we've had here....at least Patrick Nix can use talent as an excuse. Coley has mismanaged and underutilized more talent over the last 3 seasons than any coordinator I've ever seen.

Thats a joke right? Have you ever heard of watching the **** game. Coley tried both those a few times and Duke was all over it. SMH.

Give Coley one more year, he is still learning. His Qb finding magic is too good to pass up.

Go root for another program.

If he's retained then firing Golden did nothing. He's one of the worst OC's in the country.

I would agree with the post 100%. The real culprit is Coley because why were we snapping the ball at 8 plus minute mark with 12-15 seconds left on the clock ALL the time ? If you guys missed that it certainly was the reason why Duke scored at the end. SHOULD HAVE NEVER COME THAT AT ALL. Coley is a POOR day game coach and his play calling is juvenile.

Yep. File this under the "cleansing is not yet complete". Need to jettison Coley, Dorito, and the rest of this staff but there is enough talent for the next coach to win the ACC.

In what world do you live in that a person deserves a FOUTH chance to finally do well at their job?

The chances of him finally finding the secret formula to success is zero.

The one mistake we have made in close losses is to assume the defense will stop the other team late in the 4th quarter. That has never worked in the Golden regime. But had Coley tried to pass on that series there would have been posters that would have knocked him for not running out the clock. But it shows with better coaches this team will start winning these games .
