It's for Wims, mainly:

Miami head coach Mark Richt is in Mississippi today to visit JUCO four-star wide receiver target Javon Wims.

Wims (6-4, 215) has emerged as an important recruit for the Hurricanes down the stretch. Richt has made wide receiver a key position of need in the 2016 class because UM is set to return just five players at the position this season.

Wims committed to Richt when he was the head coach at Georgia. He likes the type of offense that Richt will run at Miami and he has a strong connection with the coach. Georgia was the first top school to seriously recruit Wims at Hinds Community College.

Wims took his official visit to Miami on January 15th.

The Hurricanes have a couple of factors in their favor as they chase Wims. He admits that he likes Miami because of the opportunity to make a quick impact. Wims wants to go to a school where he can play right away. The Hurricanes also feature a top level quarterback for him to play with in rising junior Brad Kaaya.

Wims is also a South Florida native. He is comfortable with the area and admits that he grew up a fan of the Hurricanes.

Wims took an official visit to South Carolina this past weekend and will visit Georgia on January 29th.

Wims finished his 2015 season with 775 yards and nine touchdowns.
