Coaching Staff You Would What --- Hypothetical

I really love the synergy of type of defense Barnett would run, his own db experience, the db recruits in this area, and Hurlie, being one of our best recruiter, db experience. Add Rocker possibly being able to pull SEC fat bodies down here, and the possibilities are tantalizing.

I would have no problem keeping our entire offensive staff. Coley would be good to keep (plus good for Coley to stay and learn under Richt) because of finding Qbs, but Richt can find his own. So since it seems Richt wants Lilly and McClendon then:

Passing game Coordinator/SP/recruiting coord John Lilly
Rb Ice Harris
Wr Bryan McClendon
TE Larry Scott
OL Art Kehoe

Would be very hard to get Harlan away from his alma mater.

irealized i said dave aranda for dc to start this convo, but forgot he runs a 3-4 defense, and thats a no go....... i think the best guy to go after would be vangorder...... but i would love to take venables from clemson lol

why are people just trying to create positions for coley and scott? let richt handle this. he prob has a staff in place already

*Kareem Brown was OLB, but it wasnt a defined role so he stays..
*Coach Coley might leave for Kentucky (mutual agreement to leave)
* Jon Richt will probably be Passing Game Coordinator

to me kehoe has to go. he has a bunch of 4 star oline guys and they underachived badly. this oline should of been much better then it was. id rather see scott as associate head coach oline. also why keep coley. he wants to call plays and while i think he would coach under richt to me he has to go.

im ok with most of what u have here. the thing is reed while a great safety has he ever coached? id rahter have a guy like willie martinez who has coached db's before with success then just hand it to a miami guy who was a great player but never coached.

the truth is great players often make horrible coaches as they expect everyone to be able to do what they could.

CMR said the staff will be announced after the bowl game..... so basically everyone is in place that he wants but wont make it public until after the bowl game so the coaches on the current staff dont feel awkward during the bowl practices and game......
