In year two, have they earned them or do you all want to see one more season after this one?

We’re at the point where we shouldn’t be losing any coach to a lateral move (such as Kool going to be a dline coach at another school). The only one I can see losing is if Diaz gets a P5 HC offer.

If Diaz leaves to be a HC we’re 100% losing Banda as he’d follow Diaz.
 
I’m sure we will once adidas re ups our deal after this season or at the latest next as we seem to be their football flag ship school and money cow

We are not their cash cow. Not even close. Louisville’s apparel sales dwarf ours.
 
A great system would be a percent raise yearly. 1/2 percent for every time your unit gets a sack/TD/FF/INT. You’d have to scale it so the QB coach would get like 1/3 a percent per TD throw, but this would make things very interesting. Koop would be making a half mil to 750 in no time.
 
Need to pay Diaz Venables/Aranda-type money. It's almost a new position as far as salary, to take away the incentive of moving. They make almost as much as a lot of head coaches, but without the headaches head coaches have. It would take a major P5 team throwing a lot of money to entice him away. Richt will make sure the coaches are paid. He got interesting trouble for doing that out of his own pocket before.

Adidas is not in the college game to sell Louisville T-shirt’s. They are there to stay relevant and continue to build a brand. Louisville does little to help that cause. Miami is giving them the cool factor that these shoe companies so desparately seek
 
I would go more with bonus for winning NCs. Very big bonuses, million for HC, half that for OC and DC, 1/4 for assistants(double that for Kul because he makes it all possible.). That is what we want and that is were the $$$$ should be attached.

Nah, Diaz already made it clear that he wants to be a head coach. If he gets the opportunity we need to let him go so he can mold himself and get him back by the time Richt retires. Salary raises will only prevent a lateral move
 
Man, I would love to see revenues and profits year over year for the past 10 years and just see how much money Richt has brought the U. Darren Rovell tweeted the other day that apparel profits are up 580% this year - ******* insane. I wonder what it would mean to Adidas if we were the first non-Nike school in the CFP... they should just give us a blank cheque. Do whatever it takes to keep the coaching staff intact and bring in some other stud coach for 10.

Sometimes it's about intangibles, this is more of an advertising business move. You do realize Miami pulls in some of the highest rated games each year, even when we are down. It's basically an advertising move for them and as it turns out it was a pretty smart one.

Flashy Miami now in the spotlight with the turnover chain hanging right near the Adidas logo...

Either way hopefully we continue to bring in the $$$ to support the market for our coaches.

Every single coach deserves to be paid like coaches on top 5 programs should be paid and pray it's enough to keep Manny longer
 
I don't think Manny would get a good power five job yet.

Maybe after two or three more years. I mean yeah sure illinois or someone like that might take him but I think he would rather be with richt and maybe take over the helm in 5-7 years when Richt retires. Then Kool can be the DC


Do we really think Richt is gonna coach into his 60's? Guy almost retired after Georgia

and this train wouldnt stop because we have the guy who hired them MR and Kool................as long as we have those two we good. Im confident MR can replace anyone on this staff except KOOL n kool aint ever leaving
