I was born and raised in Miami (within the city). I couldn't wait to get out. Miami is not for everyone.
Madison can look good in comparison.
Just out of curiosity, what didn't you like that made you want to leave? Never been there so I dunno
If you aren't me, you probably won't get it. But it basically came down to how I wanted my kids to be raised. The atmosphere, attitude, and culture of SoFL were not what I wanted for my children. The best decision I ever made in my entire life was to leave Miami.
I don't say any of that to offend people who like it down there. Your mileage may vary. I totally understand those with different opinions on this particular issue.
I understand, I left for similar reasons. Love the Canes, Heat, Marlins and Panthers, but I grew tried of the city scene and the fast pass that comes with it. When I took vacations away from there I got to see something different and I really liked it. 20 years later and absolutely no regrets. For the troopers who love the city life of Miami, I understand them too. Enjoy it!
