I don't understand why folks think Ed Reed would come to coach at UM. His home is in Louisiana. He lives in Louisiana. His community projects are in Louisiana.

Ed doesn't need college coaching money - and being a coach is almost a year-round full time job.

Will he visit and help? Of course!

But Ed Reed is retired - doing his thing at home - and doing quite well.

And probably enjoying it.

So Richt has hired him once before. And of course the twitter connection: Banda recently followed him and he follows both Patke and Banda. So guessing him as the next hire would be as good as any.

If we're gonna believe The Artist Formerly Known as BrooklynDee nonsense about Richt not wanting to hire from the outside to protect his **** show? Then the next best thing would be hiring a guy you've already hired and probably trust.

The guy also seems to have offered pretty much every SFla kid for 2020 that we have with UAB. So they have to be familiar with him
 
I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Richt forgot about the last coaching hire.
I mean there's a lot of stuff to remember guysm.
Plus, after tonight it's nap time.
