What are the thoughts on the game and clock management issues? Delay of game multiple times and once again with the Canes, as we’ve seen for years now...zero sense of urgency on the final drive and clock winding down.

Is this on Manny or the young QB? Combo of the two?

Does this **** happen at other schools?

This is all on Enos! As a offensive coach and once head coach, there are things you do to help young players like Williams. Williams played an outstanding game for a freshman.

Enos needs to go, I already saw enough to know he will not adjust. People thinking otherwise is setting themselves up for failure. It's the truth. The reason why the offense appears to be different is Williams! Williams is the real deal.

Think about it, his first career start under the lights he held great composure. He held on the ball which was okay by me, he is still learning, that will improve as the game slows down for him.

The reason this all falls on Enos is the horrific game management, he did not help his tackles at all, he knew they are young and chose to stick to a sorry his *** game plan, outside the first series everything was so scripted. That's a sign of a horrible coach or an egotistic coach.

I think Manny wanted to see what he has with his coaches and felt the disappointment in Enos, it was evident in the presser. He knew this game was a momentum game and our offense coordinate could not give us anything!

Defense will be fine as the season progresses, I am worried about Hall in coverage long term, he was doing a lot thinking out there. Carter should only come in when he is close to the LOS. I like frierson better in coverage, he should take Carter's spot. I'm not mad at him giving up that long play, he thought he had help over the top which Carter was a step too late, but other than that he held his own very well.

Definitely some issues, I don’t know if they were starting the clock early or what but it seemed like every we looked up the time to get the play off was close to 1 or 2 seconds every time and had several penalties because of it

We were way to slow with the call and getting out of huddle. Felt like we stopped with the motions because of this and had to rely on play action instead

If you were at the game you would notice that the play clocks was not even visible for the qb. At hard rock they are behind both end zones straight ahead . Last night there beneath the upper deck corners so they weren’t visible

A lot of that is on Jarren IMO. He has to learn and I think he will. Once him and Enos get use to each other a little more I think he start to see them gel in the next few games.

My only knock on Manny is we should have gone for a FG with about 5 min left to make it a 1 pt game instead of going for it on 4th and 9. You trust your D to make a stop and then getting a FG wins you the game.

Manny took his lumps and was out coached. Should not have had baxa try a 17yard field goal at that angle. I saw it coming too when Enos kept going to the right side of the field. That would have set us up for a game winning FG at the end instead of needing a TD. Too many delay of games as well...

I debated that one myself. I think you can defend the decision either way there. Ultimately, yes, I probably woulda taken the pts there too. Of course, if Bubba doesn't miss a 10yarder (from a tough angle, I know) or we get 7 after being gifted a new set of downs inside the 10 on that same possession, it doesn't matter. Coming away with no points from that posession and then JT4 laying that punt on the ground are ultimately why we aren't 1-0 this morning. Put differently, if either of those don't happen we win that game still even with all the other issues.

Manny Shannon

De Ja Vu out there
Ha, I said Manny Shannon last night because of the clock management. Maybe it was a bit too far, but I wasn't happy about it.

I'm more upset at Enos than Manny, though. Stubborn as **** by not chipping those DEs. Also, if he's going to be on the sideline to help coach Williams, maybe teach him it's a **** good idea to throw the ball away.

one play clock in the stadium I read. I was sitting in section 146 and I saw no play clocks from my view.

PROBLEM is he didn't trust his kicker from the right hash. that's understandable but also an indictment on the special teams coach. special teams lost us the game.
