We are witnessing unprecedented (and some not yet confirmed) coaching moves the last few days, many of them bold and aggressive. Riley to USC, Kelly to LSU,, Venables potentially to OU, O'Brien potentially to VT.

All of these moves will put additional pressure on Frenk and Friends to (a) revamp the AD office, (b) inject tens of millions of dollars to Football, (c) hire a top-notch AD and (d) hire a home run HBC. The pressure was already on, but these additional moves creates even more pressure not only to catch up to the landscape that existed barely a few weeks ago but to match what is being developed by these programs.

Yeah, if we do, it's all over.
that's right. it would be all over, so the stakes are higher than ever which, in my opinion, creates additional pressure on getting these moves right. had the coaching landscape behaved "normally" rather than bold and aggressive, then the risk of not acting would have been small. the fact that the landscape has changed dramatically and that the gap between us and them has increased requires a bold and aggressive response by this admin.

let's see.

Our #1 target has been Mario all along and that hasn't changed. It's a matter of time before he signs a $8M / yr. renewal with Oregon or with Miami. Time will tell

I doubt Frenk or anyone on the BOT have even heard of Lincoln Riley, Brian Kelly, etc….seeing as none of those coaches are Cuban, from Miami, or have any ties to Columbus High.

It's too quiet, all we get are BS speculation reports. It's too quite at Oregon too, tells me most likely means Cristobal to UM already a done deal.

It’s not just the HC hire, it’s assembling a staff as well.

The longer UM waits the less quality assistant coaches will be available for a potential new HC’s staff.

Miami admin feel no pressure Bc they are soft shouldered cucks I have no faith in them spending in order to win

If they hired Mario or Lane they’d both likely bring their key assistants.

And assistants move far more easily.
