Haven't seen any comments here .... hope this isn't a duplicate .... just saw Gus is RETIRING from coaching? Crazy. Their portal QB was "excited" to be playing in Malzahn's offense. I had read comments that Norvell wasn't getting along with Gus and wanted him gone but the admin didn't want to fire him. Who will replace him? Didn't Gus bring in a lot of his guys on his offensive staff?

Does that now open the transfer portal for newly signed offensive players? Believe they signed THREE QB's ... who were "excited to play in Gus Malzahn's offense". Novell wants to have total control and congratulations to him. Hope he gets another extension.

I believe portal only would open if head coach left/fired. Not assistants.
