The play Bama, Florida, LSU, Vandy, Missouri, Oklahoma, A&M. Brutal schedule. They won’t be a serious contender but would gladly welcome a few random upset wins from them.

Another example of the perceptions surrounding loyalty in CFB.

Mark Stoops was a hot name for a lot of schools 3 yrs ago. UK locked in with him on an extension in November 2022. Now he could’ve went somewhere else and be facing the same fate 3 yrs later, but he stayed…. They upped his salary and there is a buyout or payout either way. It’s the business and this is how it works. Both sides are protected and are made whole if either decides they want out.

I’m indifferent to Lane… I do think he’s a good coach and he’s going to provide a jolt wherever he goes. I just haven’t seen anything that says “sustainable”…. to me. Off my soapbox, I’m no Lane apologist but he don’t owe Ole Miss a got **** thing. He did his job and they saw a level of success not familiar to them. It was never a destination job for “him” and they are fooling themselves if they ever thought otherwise.
