They leaked it before it was done. A different Arkansas insider than the one that leaked it claimed they only offered him the same base salary as he was making at USF, which if true is extraordinary. Their dumb dumb AD should be fired

I am old enough to remember everyone being on Lincoln Riley's **** when his first year at USC was good, saying how he was miles better than Mario, same with Sonny Dykes. I am pretty sure USC has a lot of resources, too, and their schedule isn't a gauntlet either.

Weiss was the GOAT coaching fraud. I remember at one point he was unemployed but still one of the highest paid coaches in the country because he was getting buyout loot from Notre Dame and Kansas. Legend.

All of this proves even more the CFB Calendar is ****ed up. Saban made a great comment on Game Day. CFB needs comparable rules and calendar similar to the NFL.
NFL teams can't speak with another team's coaches until that team's season is finished. Teams can't speak with prospective FAs until the FA period starts. I'm sure there is some back-channeling but the owners will come down hard on tampering.
All coaching hires, HS Signing Day, and the Transfer Portal Window need to be move to the completion of the season. Move Spring Practice to later in the year as OTAs.
And I would also eliminate FBS games vs FCS teams to a single 'preseason' game still benefitting the FCS teams financially.
