He's made a calculation (they all do)...and it isn't to look like a jackass (in his mind)

- Expose the theoretical/actual liability to taxpayers in LA and across the nation
- Drive change to contracts (I think he will somewhat because the political mob is growing) that are more University friendly in event of (ok certain eventual) "we hate you, die! die! die!"
- Add arrow in his quiver, "look what I did for the taxpayers"


These people, across the spectrum, are ALWAYS scheming
