I feel like he needs to start at a lower level.

Something tells me he does very little recruiting.

Most likely his only responsibility here is QB recruiting and coming up with a passing game plan.

I can see Golesh moving from USF.
If this happens, Dawson may be a strong candidate for USF, IMO.

If I’m Lashlee I’d rather stay at SMU than go to Arky. Rich alumni base, you can be more competitive in the ACC, and less pressure to win now.

Plus I mean… Dallas vs Fayetteville is a no brainer

The thing with Arkansas is one has to rely on acquiring talent from neighboring states as their backyard doesn't produce much of it. They've done this in the past, relying on talent from nearby Tennessee, Louisiana, Texas and Missouri, but that's no easy task these days.

Agree with everything you said but I just believe for most college coaches there is a natural draw to their Alma Mater if it’s a P4. They’ll make some concessions for their school that no one else would typically receive.

If true, he won’t last long and better just ask for a big pay increase if we win lots in the CFP with continued success each year. So much less stress bringing in 3-4m as an OC than HC at a school like Ark or another p4.
You are way high on OC pay. Highest I've seen is ND at $2.1 large. Will Stein at Oregon is $1.75.

If someone were willing to pay you $ 3 million you'd have to seriously consider that vs taking a high risk HC job at $8 where you end up doing less of what you enjoy (coachoing offense) and more CEO broad activities.

Didn’t Chip Kelly get 3-4 last year? Pardon if I’m off. I also know the g5 and lower p4 aren’t paying 8-12 for HC, more in the 2-6 range.

I’m also projecting change coming. Meaning, due to parity quality OC/dc will make bigger impacts thus more $.

Dcs do get paid more with a good number in the 2-3m range.

I have no idea on Kelly. I was just reporting the current market. I'd expect it to go up, but for a guy who wants to be a HC even somewhere mid like USF don't think you'll retain an OC

Chip's contract with OSU was $2M/$2.1/$2.2 if he would have stayed
