Coaching at Miami is Manny's Dream Job

can we stop this bull****? coaching at Miami is my dream job, doesnt mean i should be hired.

You know who's else dream job this has been since he left the Browns, Butch's.

Doesn’t mean he should be coaching here either. Can Butch and his manic sideline antics beat Western Kentucky before wanting him back? The fan base will make every excuse for Butch doing a **** job at Cleveland, UNC, and FIU. If not one other legitimate P5 team would hire him (they wouldn’t), then we should not either. And that same logic applies to Manny.

Or let's live in reality and stop creating 16 threads after every loss asking for a coaching change when we know for **** sure that Diaz is getting three years minimum.

Go vent your frustration on your dog / children / wife instead.

That question was pure sarcasm, people are overreacting like normal around here.

I’m pretty sure the Lane Train crowd has left the station. Anyone advocating for Kitten should be subject to chemical castration.

Anybody else with Butch's record would be getting blasted on CIS, but not ol Butch. No, despite lots and lots of evidence to the contrary, he's a genius who wouldn't be able to help but win at Miami.

Well, Louisiana Monroe beat Saban - and NIcky got over it and seems to be doing pretty well.

I think you forget about the hiring bit. Butch made some good money with the Browns - he went to UNC - built up that team - and they fired him as a NCAA scapegoat for things the UNC admnistration was doing - and had been doing for years.

Butch got some bank for NOT coaching - and could double-dip as a TV analyst/commentator.

He took the FIU job - as they needed someone to build things from pretty much - scratch. Like he did at UM. At UNC.

Like he could again - at UM. At least he'll get some coordinators who know * * * * from strawberries.

Here is the bottom line... if he was that great of a coach, someone would have given him a chance between UNC in 2010 and September 8, 2019. Sorry, but it is not some UM vendetta against him. Do you really think he would be coaching at FIU if he had any other option? Come on. We all appreciate that run, those rosters, and what he built, but he was not without faults as a coach.

Would he have been better than the last four muppets we have hired? Probably. Does that mean he was the best candidate? Maybe so, maybe not. It is a very, very different landscape for recruiting, finding under the radar guys, offensive systems, and assistant coach salaries than it was in 2000.

See - you assume. Problem is - first three letters.

You assume Butch was hot for another coaching job. Name one he tried for when he left North Carolina. ONE! That's right - he got paid by UNC to sit on his ***. He picked up extra money doing the broadcasts.

Maybe he was enjoying other things. I've known lots of folks who were very successful, retired with plenty of money - and actually enjoyed themselves!

And years later - didn't want to get into the big time rush of things - did a smaller gig. Just to get busy again.

Yeah - I can see Butch just wanting to do what he's doing - after all - probably the ONLY team he'd think is worth a full blow - is UM.

Yeah, it's not the same recruiting - it was much, much more difficult back then - you had to get off your *** and go find them, watch them, evaluate them, and then sell them. While under sanctions! When SI indicated UM should drop football!

You're FOS.

Funny you say assume, and then draw an assumption for the next four paragraphs of your senile drivel.

You did have to discover guys back then. Now Alabama and Georgia do not need to uncover any one down here. It is out there for them. That advantage has been neutralized. The other under the radar guys that we discover, offer, and commit during their sophomore year would chase the bags, just like they have been for the last decade. Again, you can keep tossing Butch’s salad, draw every possible assumption out of the air, and whatever else you need to convince yourself that every college program has it out for Butch Davis. If he was this messiah of a coach then he would not be 0-2 stuck at FIU.

In a perfect world of course success stories happen, that being said Saban already had a successful track record and titles when he took over Bama. Hypothetically if we hired a Urban Meyer for example and he lost the exact 2 games we just did, I wouldn’t say a word. That’s because he’s won titles and knows what he’s doing. But just as your Saban or Butch example we have Randy, Al as the opposite examples.

Some of Mannys hires I don’t trust one bit that they know they are doing. Most elite teams have maybe 1 Banda, Patke and Stubblefield on staff, we have 3 if not more, that’s concerning to me.

You must be typing with one hand, distracted and rubbing one out with your other hand. "It's out there for them?" Guess what? It's always been "OUT THERE" for top teams - especially those who are NOT under sanctions - as Butch had to operate under.

And no where - not one place did I EVER suggest every or even ANY college program has it out for Butch Davis.

You dishonest, lying POS - you made that up! Why would I ever suggest such a stupid thing? That YOU came up with.

Finish your rub-out, if it still works - and try again - with honesty and factual discourse.

Frikkin' millennials.

Edited. Don’t care to argue with a perfect representation of the most worthless generation in American history.

Here are facts... you need to get a life and convince your wife to slip you the blue pill and help you relax. You clearly have some serious mental issues, and I feel bad for her and whatever you have maybe managed to spawn. Good luck in life, and again, have a WONDERFUL, meaningful evening.

Hey - I'm not the one making things up -and just lying like **** and attributing MY statements to someone else.

Why don't you fill us all in on your experiences with the blue pill. You have to use those? OR, maybe - maybe YOUR wife slips them to YOU as you suggest - because maybe you're not - you know - "getting it done?"

You have this thing - about attributing YOUR crap - on someone else. I have never in my life suggested - as you say I did - that colleges were out to get Butch! That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard of - and it all came from you! And you had to nerve to attribute it to me?

Delusional. It's sometimes a psychological disorder - a disfunctional element when one attributes to others - what they do and think.

You definitely don't need firearms in the house.
