Miami is on coach number 5 since 2007. Out of Shannon, Golden, and Manny, who was the worst coach?

I got to go with Manny. Losses to FIU and La Tech and almost to Central Michigan in 2019, the 15000 yards Unc ran on our d in 2020 are just a few examples. The only positives were he did do well in the portal aka Roche, Phillips, King, Rambo and he did go 2-1 against FSU where Golden didn’t win once against them and Randy went 2-2.

Worst - Manny
Next worst - Shannon
Mid - Golden
Coulda/Woulda/Shoulda - Richt
Maybe the best by default, but STFU - Mario

Diaz is the worst by a country mile, in order of crappyness since 2001..
-Diazter
-Criscobal, can’t get 2022 and ga tech/Rutgers out of my mind no matter the crootin.
-Radio
-Glutten
-Coker
-washed richt

Folden
Shanny
Radio
Corker/Rekt
Mario - TBD
I really disliked Folden, especially toward the end. I think that his name should be followed by the name of his DC who I thought was a big factor in Folden's failure.

At least Richt managed to beat FSU and had somewhat of a run despite limited team talent, especially at QB.

Corker and to a lessor degree Shannon benefited from the talent pipeline and reputation that Butch had created.

Mario - TBD for sure. No question he can recruit. But, can he stop himself from turning victories into defeats?

I just dont have the heart to put CMR on this list. The guy probably didnt realize he was sick until it was too late. He will always have my respect for caring more for the program more than the others on that list.
Yep he doesn’t belong on any list. My only beef with him is I wish he hired an OC after the 2017 season.

This could be a poll

I know a lot more should go into this but… Randy losing 48-0 in our final game at the Orange Bowl to UVA left me feeling physically sick to my stomach in a way I’ve never felt regarding a **** game. Taking a L… that way to that team just makes feel a way.

Gotta go with Randy

**** this guy and his buddy.

Manny. He hired a few quality staff members. But his recruiting, his WWF style of promoting the team with no substance underneath, hos lack of leadership. Just abysmal.

Radio was next. Once Clint Hurtt moved on the recruiting fell through the floor. Pat Nix was possibly the worst OC in Miami history history, worse than Enos and worse than Gattass. … can you believe we had those three OCs in the last 17 years, woof … Shannon had his doghouse but zero respect of the players. Just like Manny not HC material.

Golden was a fraud. But of the three, if he had been given a real recruiting budget in return for hiring a real staff, I could see him pulling it off. His managerial instincts were better than those of the other two. People forget how bad the NCAA was up our *** after Shapiro, and Golden was totally handcuffed by it. Meanwhile Jimbo somehow magically pulls out crab legs right from under Saban’s nose and lands half the best players in South Florida. No bags there, nothing to see.

The real failures were none of the above but Shalala, Dee and Blake James.

In order of ****tiness

Golden
Shannon
Diaz
Richt

We'll see where Mario puts himself but the worst Miami team ive ever seen was the '22 team. He's going to have more talent than any of these coaches by a wide margin when all is said and done.

The 09 team should have definitely had 10 plus wins. You go 3-1 in that FSU Ga Tech Va Tech Oklahoma gauntlet only to lose in OT to Clemson and a game to UNC. You go 11-1 with an ACC title win you are in national championship conversation. Then 2010 was an absolute disaster. Shannon and Golden are tied for second. The only defense I’m giving Golden is he had that cloud over him from 2011-2013 and lost his best player against FSU in 2013.

There is no wrong answer. For me, I can’t help but point at Mr. Three Ring Binder himself, Al Golden. He got dealt a turrd sandwich with Uncle Nevin, but he simply never fit. He tried to make Miami a Penn State reincarnate. He wore a fugkinn shirt and tie on gamedays. In million degree South Florida heat. He couldn’t part with his cuck friend Onofrio. He was yet another budget hire. Good riddance.

Mario is definitely on pace if he ***** the bed again.
Embarrassments: MTSU, Duke, GT, Rutgers.
Blow outs: FSU, Clemson, Pitt.

It's between Shannon & Manny, and I think I am gonna pick Shannon.
Shannon was given a lot better roster than people think, we were close enough to the glory days to rebound but his personality was a huge problem. You can't be passive aggressive and a leader. He had no leadership skills at all. Manny was more fake it til you make it and he really did grind to try to make it, he just didn't have the contacts or experience to make it happen. Manny being let go came down to 1 play against FSU.
