Coaches press conference 10/7

Diaz says Baker " keep doing what you're doing. " Yikes. Stay tuned Cane fans. Virginia and their seasoned veteran QB is going to make Baker's play calling interesting. And this is coming off a short week. OUCH.

You dont give up on a frehsman from 1 bad game. Auburn isnt gonna give up on Bo nix. Its stupid to do so after a game.

Agree, but from here on out JW is on a SHORT LEASH! In other words, if Miami's offense is sputtering on three straight possessions. Then call in Perry from the Hurricane bullpen!

All coach speak but reading between the lines you can see Manny doesn't know how to fix things. Why has it taken him this long to "hold the defense more accountable". The ****** performance against UNC wasn't enough for concern? Or missed tackles/semi bad performance against UF?

A head coach can't wait until disaster strikes, they have to sniff out potential issues and make adjustments before they become a disaster.

Unfortunately sounds like he might not be the man for this job and is in over his head after 5 games. That press conference was a combination of Al Golden & Mark Richt mixed into one

One bad game???? First off that's completely false and secondly there are things you can see on the field that he's not improving on and give defenses no reason to adjust. His pocket presence is poor, his downfield timing and accuracy are poor, he's not seeing the field and still poses very little threat or strain on a defense (particularly the safeties). With film and ability to game plan that's becoming painfully evident. Everyone is asking.........what's wrong with Jeff Thomas what happened to him? Then with the QB change he goes for 120 and a couple scores and actually looks like a playmaker. That's not a coincidence........................the only thing stupid is acting like Jarren is going to magically get better at all these deficiencies in 6 days and we're not gonna have the exact same problems as an offense. We can't establish the run or move the ball cause we have a struggling O-Line and pose little to no threat on a defense down the field to create some form of balance................because our QB can't process reads quickly, can't feel the rush and escape, and can't deliver the ball down the field with good timing and accuracy.

Oh, and on top of this........since Jarren is being named the started that means he's getting the first team reps in practice. So even if N'kosi has to come in cause Jarren is struggling, he's being asked to come into what will more than likely a difficult situation without being properly prepared for it.

Have to agree with you. Our D has underperformed all season in spite of what some early stats said (playing Buffoon for instance makes all stats inflated). We seem more passive than last year. O is part Manny/Enos, but also our OL play is killing us obviously.

On Jarren, I’m not willing to give up on him but he’ll be on a short leash. Let’s not forget that Perry didn’t exactly light it up against UVA last year.

Oddly enough, I’m almost glad we haven’t pulled off miracle finishes during these losses. If this was 2017 all over again, there would be no urgency to make the changes that are needed. Feel free to disagree.

Exactly. These people think it's a video game and you just choose the next digital qb and they'll be flawless because you put in a cheat code

Enos seems as confident as ever, even threw in a joke .He gave Perry a good amount of praise which is great to see and he definitely deserves that. Also gave some encouraging remarks for Jarren. Until this point I like Enos and will chalk that cmu game up as an anomaly, he’s an issue but not THE issue. Far more concerned with our defense at this point. Need to continue to see improvement however.

On defense, blake baker looks defeated to me honestly lol. Whatever it is they got to get that side of the ball fized.
