Coaches Poll

At least the SEC is scheduling a couple real schools in week 1 this year? Obviously these games we're scheduled last week so some of it needs to approached with that lens, but

Texas is at Taint
LSU is at Clemson
USCe plays VT in Atlanta
Alabama plays at FSU (not their fault Norvell nuked the program)
Tennessee plays Syracuse in Atlanta
Auburn plays at Baylor
Even Miss St plays on the road at Southern Miss, which these SEC schools never play at a G5 school.

Of course UiF plays something called LIU Brooklyn, but it's not like anyone expected them to behave like men.
For real though. I expect VT and FSU to lose but if those games are close that’s a red flag for the SEC not ACC. Really hoping Syracuse and Clemson can pull out their games even though I can’t stand either program and hope they lose repeatedly throughout the year once they dent the armor of the SEC

I know this has been mentioned before, but man I don't get the pre-season love that Clemson is receiving.

I do. A pretty good predictor of success is returning production, and they return everyone, including genuinely good kids in Klubnik, Woods, and Parker. Woods and Parker are both projected first round picks on the defensive line, and usually when you're good on the DL, you have a good defense. Blake Miller is a stud on the OL, Antonio Williams is a stud WR, and it looks like they really hit on their two big time blue-chip WRs from last class, Wesco and Moore.

If we just won the ACC, played Texas really tough on the road in the playoff, and had all these kids coming back, we'd still have extreme mopes because that's what people do here but most of this board would be non-stop 16-0 posts.

I see the skepticism, they did get really pushed around in Week 1 last year by UGA and lost 3 in the regular season. But there aren't a lot of teams who can claim they have an NFL player at QB (say what you want about him, Klubnik is going to be drafted high), three really good receivers, an All-America on the OL and multiple first-rounders on defense. I'll be very surprised if they lose more than 1, maybe 2 games in the regular season.

I think Clemson will handle LSU. Brian Kelly is garbage in these season opener games, and it's at Clemson, at night.

Woods is a stud. Parker also. I'm not a Klubnick believer, but I don't disagree with your comments about him going early in the draft.
v. LSU, @ Louisville, @ USCe are three loseable games.

It's also preseason and someone from the ACC has to be listed at/near the top ten. We certainly have done little to nothing to deserve being inside the top ten, yet here we are.
