Coaches poll 15

We should at least be 13, it’s crap, we lose to Top 15 LSU and drop a thousand spots and UCF who hasn’t beat **** either keeps climbing. I’d expect some of the same from AP

Our rankings have nothing to do with UCF they are ranked appropriately, now Texas on the other hand, really??? Last week it was Kentucky, the week before that it was so other team who should have been below us. We just need to keep winning though

Nothing about a 1 point win when you are favored by 14 at home suggests we should have shot up the ranks. Sorry.

At best, we move ahead of the people in the 11-16 range that lost in front of us.

Can't trash talk FSU all week and then try and prop that up as more than the moral victory that it was.

Nothing about this teams performance so far, or its remaining schedule justifies a top ten ranking until we have won every game between now and the ACC championship. Our one loss just got beat by that ****** florida team. That ranking is fair if not generous.

I can't even look at those polls anymore without getting ****ed. We dropped 11 spots for losing to LSU on the road. South Carolina (whose fans I have to put up with) got blown out at home by UGA and only dropped 5 spots a few weeks back.

The coaches poll ballots aren't always filled out by the coaches anyway. Didn't Spurrier get called out a few years ago for letting an assistant fill his out? Besides, it benefits THEM to rank teams on their schedule or from their conference higher than they otherwise would. There is no reason whatsoever for them to be objective.

The AP poll is just as ridiculous. 70 year old east coast AP voters aren't staying up to watch Pac 12 games with 10:30 kickoffs. Its like the west coast voters are aware of this and feel like they need to boost the teams they cover to compensate.

None of these polls make sense anymore!

It's the SEC bias crap!!!!!

Full-on SEC bias would have had Florida jump over us, for beating the LSU team that embarrassed us. I am happy that we moved up after struggling at home against a team that barely beat Samford at home.

You can’t see there perspective because you are completely biased. Take of your rosy colored sunglasses and you will see yesterday’s come from behind win against a bad football team at home is concerning!

Just win, baby.

Canes need to remember that the Al Davis approach always pays off in the end.

There is nothing new here, the human polls have always been biased. They are the compilation of dozens of disparate opinions, filled with all of the bias and personal agendas you’d expect. Some weeks you love how your team is ranked, some weeks it makes no sense.

It hasn’t changed in the 35+ years that I’ve been paying close attention. And there is a reason it hasn’t changed very much...the controversy and discusssion and fan emotion fuels this sport in no small way. We hang on those poll numbers for legitimacy and relevance.

The one thing that eventually kills all bias is winning. We win, we will be fine. We lay an egg against LSU and struggle for 2 1/2 quarters against a very bad FSU team, then we are more susceptible to the bias and second guessing.

We won by a thousand points vs NC and well over the spread and dropped a spot so this doesn’t make sense
