Great story about Coach Salave'a during his time at Wash St under Mike Leach, where Coach Joe built a Polynesian pipeline from the island to the NFL via Wazzu.

He clearly rubs some kids the wrong way. But I am happy Mario brought in Salave’a and hope and expect him to stick with the team. A lot depends on what Steele and Strong want to do this off season.

p.s. that author couldn’t write worth a ****. I feel sorry for the younger generation having to read unedited pieces by untrained journalists. Bots could do better.

Coach Joe is putting in work to get those poly kids to IMG he is "culture 1st" make no mistakes, but that said the next stop for those kids is UM. It takes time to get the train rolling, but once it's moving all them Polynesian linemen and their large supple n **** mamas n sisters n aunties are coming to the U.

I've talked to a former college head coach about Salave’a (who he knows well) and how he's the hard-***, take-no-lip enforcer type that is around to keep the rougher kids in line and in check.

Safe to assume that his schtick isn't going to work with a lot of the softies that were on the 2022 roster, but trust that harder working, tougher kids are going to take to him just fine moving forward.

Its the Samoan way. You shut up and listen to those who've paved the way before u Lol. This style of living is in opposition to the American way of living nowadays🤣🤣🤣.

Reminds me of story of recently fired Navy coach Ken Niumatalolo. His son was playing at local hs when he suffered separated shoulder (if I recall). Instead of sitting out as expected dude continued to play with some improvised splint....they are tough mofos.

We signed joe brown out of Cali but he left for BYU lol. Pretty sure he was.
