Coach Richt - Please explain

I know it was ugly last night but please explain the hate for our head coach?
- Guy has been a monster in recruiting.... just huge
- Hired the best D line coach in the nation
- If I would have told you we were going to lose our best Off Player and our QB would be average all year and still make the ACC Championship, you would have called that a GREAT year by a GREAT coach .....period
- We had the longest active win streak for much of the year
- We destroyed ND on National TV AND broke the streak against FSU
- And, finally under his leadership we finally get the In door Practice Facility done AND he donates $1M out of his pocket

Stop acting like Gator or even worse ......Tenn fans

We are soooooooooo lucky to have Coach wearing the U on the sideline

The program hasn't been in this strong of a position since 2000 - Go Canes

This has always been a front running market. I saw more Hurricane flags on cars the last month then in the last 10 yaers

I love CMR and I do believe that we will get our 6th ring with him as the Head Coach. The only thing I don't really like about him is that I don't feel like he's much of a motivator. I know it's just his personality and I still think he's a great coach who kids wanna play for but he just doesn't get fired up the way a guy like Dabo does. We were down 31-0 and he was on the sideline all calm like nothing was happening. I'm was watching wondering when he was gonna get ****ed off or jump in somebody's face and pump them up or snap and tell them to get it together

Won coastal, beat fsu, clubbed nd, all with a D1AA QB. Guys a miracle worker in my opinion. People rip on his play calling & scheme. He was able to hide Rosier for 10 weeks. 10 WEEKS!
 
Answer: Any ***** with an internet connection and a keyboard can spread verbal diarrhea. Fans boards are no different.

Top 5 recruiting class coming in

Noles and UF get new coaches and lose recruits

We haven't won 10 games since '03, now we have a chance to win 11 and our opponent is beatable and we get to do it at home in a NY6 game.. definitely would have taken that at the beginning of the year
 
Because I was never in the corner for hiring him. I think he is soft and has little to no fire to take on the gig of motivator as the head coach. At least not at this point of his career.

Miami hired a retread who's best days are behind him.

i wanted butch but what i have heard about Richt, i think he will be like roy williams. williams didnt start getting rings until he returned to unc. i think richt is meant to be here
and Diaz might be his HC in waiting. we just need more depth.
 
He was the coach I wanted, so I'm pleased. Wins against FSU , V-TECH, ND and a chance to play in the orange bowl and win. Excited to see what this upcoming recruit class looks like.

Herbstriet said the team was fired up, big-time, during pre-game.
Motivation was a non-issue IMO.
 
Those of us with concerns share them on this board. Here is an old post I had...

Before I post the stuff below, I actually think Richt can be much better if he fixed some obvious things and got some help. I don't think there is anything wrong with getting help; some of the best coaches (Saban) get help. Saban actually is a great defensive coach but he still goes out and gets great coaches to help him call plays and make decisions (especially personnel).

A few things:

1. I think the difference in wins has to do with the quality of coaching in the SEC and when he coached against them. For example, Richt was 2-0 against Bama but then when Saban came in 2007, he went 1-3 against Bama.

Against UF:

2001: Spurrier 0-1
2002-04: Zook 1-2
2005-10: Meyer 1-5
2011-15: Muschump 3-1

Against LSU:

2001-04: Saban 1-1 (Doesn't play against LSU in 2001 and 2002)
2005-15: Miles 3-2 (Doesn't play against LSU in 2006, 2007, 2010, 2012, 2014 and 2015)

Alabama

2001-02: Franchione 1-0 (Doesn't play against Bama in 2001)
2003-06: Shula 1-0 (Doesn't play against Bama in 2004, 2005 and 2006)
2006-15: Saban 1-3 (Doesn't play against Bama in 2009, 2010, 2011, 2013, 2014

2. If you want to talk about the offense, then it is clear they did better on offense when Richt wasn't calling plays.

Yes another voice of reason. I’m with you, he is a miracle worker who was able to hide/protect Rosier for ten years. Some fans are so ungrateful.
