Coach, if every team plays a "great game" against us, that tells you something...

Coach at it again..."it's about execution"...that includes execution as a play caller as well! smdh...

WHat plays would have worked today? Running game couldn’t do anything and Malik was missing bubble screens

I dont know, but I know that 4 verts on 2nd & 8 and draw plays on 3rd and 15 are **** playcalls, and almost anything else would work better in those situations. There is absolutely no way to defend Richts playcalling at this point. If he doesnt hire a dedicated OC, we will never take the next step.

Certainly no way to defend it if you're a fanboy with no concept of blocking, passing and everything else that goes into execution.

So you're telling me Richt is calling good games? Gtfoh dude. Richt is a great coach. Richt also happens to be a **** playcaller.

This is undeniable.

UNC really wanted the upset to salvage their season. Our guys looked like they were just going through the motions - especially the offense. The effort and focus just was not there today.

Two things:

1. Our offensive playcalling is ***. It's imperative that Richt hires a truly dedicated OC who knows what the **** he is doing. Yeah, we are really missing Walton because Homer is just not a workhorse every down back. But we've got enough weapons to do way better than we are doing on Offense. Especially in the 1st Quarter. We come out terrible every game. RICHT, PLEASE HIRE A COT**** OC!!

2. We need depth in order to take that next step. Playoff caliber teams have good depth on both sides of the ball, and that's what we are missing. Our DL is probably our only unit that is OK in terms of rotational depth, but the rest are all in dire need of talent beyond the starters. This is the time of season where lack of depth really rears its ugly head, and I'm afraid that our guys (OL, LB, Secondary) are starting to wear.

Rhetorical questions like this are the first sign of a guy with no clue.

You're constant gobbling of Richt is nauseating. He's a good HC but his play calling days are passed him, period. You keep screaming execution....well as head coach, OC and QB developer, that falls squarely on his shoulders. Period.

Richt is not a good play caller, our OL is horrendous and Rosier is below average. At some point it will bite us in the ***. Probably the next 2 weeks.

My takeaways:

-Richt knows what he’s looking at
-Berrios is a Cane! Had to “raise up” the U.
-McDermott looks like Buddy from The Incredibles
-RJ kind of implies...they were looking beyond UNC...by acknowledging that they have to be ready for VT.
-Miami is 7-0.
-8-0 after next week.

Go Canes!

Honestly? More square-in routes, using Herndon more than just 1 fantastic play, not running a rb/wr screen pretty much every series when the defense has it snuffed out, running more route trees than just 4 verts, playing matchups in the middle of the field (Herndon again) to our advantage, not running inside zone RPO over and over again when our O Line is getting their *** handed to them...should I go on?!?

Then discuss that.

Stop with this tired, cliche "play-calling" garbage.

No coach in America can make a mediocre O-line group, great.

Nor can play-calling mask the inability to block anybody for long stretches.

Nor can it cover for a quarterback who can't make a simple throw on a screen.

Rosier couldn't throw a swing pass today.

I've yet to find the play-calls that can cover for bad blocking and bad throwing.
