For the early birds - 6:40 am
I’ll post the link so you can listen when you get your butt outta bed.I’ll take the Cliff notes. That’s WAY to early for me.
Probably coach speak, but coming from Oklahoma and how well their WRs perform, playing at a “Miami standard” should be an easy transition. He talks about competition - his WR room is in phase two, holding each other accountable. They aren't just worrying about themselves but holding the other guys in the room accountable. He said they are being very detail oriented in spring practice. The goal is to give everyone snaps - he mixes and matches his WR with different QBs so they get different looks and become familiar with each other.
Likens says since January, all the receivers have caught 100 balls or tennis balls every single day.
Restrepo: Says Restrepo is a "football player". Works very hard and loves football. Likens says Restrepo is a playmaker and he is very excited about "X" man...
On Pope & Wiggins:
Tells them they can't listen to outside criticism. Tells them criticism will make you tougher - trust in the process.
On Rambo: He's settling in and getting what it means to play up to the standard at Miami. He's been learning the offense and all the details and really starting to put it all together.
Likens said he is very excited about the young guys on the team in general.
Likens knows Jake Garcia from his time at ASU. Recruited him from the time Jake was in 9th grade. He says that if he was a young wide receiver in the program, he would be very excited about having TVD and Jake as QBs ....
-He said he shows his WR film of different plays and tries to make them understand that if they want to succeed at the next level, it's not just about catching a ball and getting tackled; they need to do something with the ball after they catch it. He said he tells them "they don't give away millions of dollars" for nothing......
I’ve always wondered what a tyrique and Rambo thinks when they get here. About our program facilities mindset etcProbably coach speak, but coming from Oklahoma and how well their WRs perform, playing at a “Miami standard” should be an easy transition.
Rambo was probably just looking for a P5 school that needed a starter and had an offense that would maximize his talent. Stevenson is from here and was pretty heavily recruited by Miami. He’s seen the facilities and campus long before transferring.I’ve always wondered what a tyrique and Rambo thinks when they get here. About our program facilities mindset etc

That doesn't answer the question posed.Rambo was probably just looking for a P5 school that needed a starter and had an offense that would maximize his talent. Stevenson is from here and was pretty heavily recruited by Miami. He’s seen the facilities and campus long before transferring.
The question literally says “facilities and mindset” I’m pretty sure you get a pretty clear shot of both when you take official visits. Did they already know every little detail, probably not but that’s the case for literally every single player who is in his first year in the program. So I’m sure there’s been a few things that are mildly surprising but it’s not like guys have no idea what they’re walking into. That doesn't answer the question posed.
The meetings, meals, difficulty of practice, the coaches knowledge of the game etc. Most importantly would be strength and conditioning. But all are unique from program to program. It doesn't matter why they came here (when answering this particular question) it's how being here compares to how OU or UG run their programs.

it's interesting. I got the sense from the way Likens spoke that it hasn't been easy for Rambo. Now, that being said, he is learning a new offense, new teammates, etc. But it didn't sound like he came in and was immediately a star. Harley alluded to him catching on, also.I’ve always wondered what a tyrique and Rambo thinks when they get here. About our program facilities mindset etc
I get what u are saying. Your basically wanting to ask the differences. Like if we are on par top to bottom or run like a mickey mouse program. I'm sure they wouldn't tell us or bad moth the school so we will never know. But it's a good question. That doesn't answer the question posed.

Agree.,.....and how talented they are.I think that sometimes it comes down to the individuals drive and what are they willing to do to be their best. To be the absolute best at their craft...How much extra work will they do?
I know what you asking and to question you is senseless since it needs to come from a Big program P5 transfer. It would be an interesting overall comparison, if only to see if it's winning, bags or coaching why locals may choose elsewhere. That doesn't answer the question posed.

You ever worked for a really good company, great management, or healthy workplace culture and thought you could do better? Go to a new job and it doesn’t meet what you thought. Not calling Miami a dysfunctional atmosphere, but just adding more to your point.Sometimes when u come from a certain level or standard, and come into another philosophy, it can f up ur mental.
