We have a brand new coaching staff with a professional approach and big-boy mentality. Not sure why we would rehash the last putrid staffs. I'm excited for what what Coach Diaz and Coach Kool bring to the table. The former staff can pull a John Saunders and I wouldn't care one bit.

Total and complete indictment on the Golden 3-4 defense meant for strong North East kids with brains and no athletic ability. So much for the seemingly concerned effort to not put the old coaches on blast. I personally want to see more putting those ammeters on blast. It's a Cane thing.

For starters, since when are the Div1 kids from the northeast that much smarter than southern kids?
Second, the problem with the previous administration wasn't that they were running with a 3-4.
It was how they were running it.
Lots of schools in the southeast run a 3-4 and the way they run is just as athletic and aggressive
as many 4-3 defenses.
Heck, look at the 3-4 Houston runs under Todd Orlando, who was a long-time coach at UConn.
Finally, and it's not just this post, but others as well where I keep reading that we had a slow
team because Golden wanted to fashion a Big10 squad.
Lots of Big10 teams have very good team speed.
Put an end to that nonsense as well.

Some of these dopes just can't accept that some coaches are terrible. They still think Folden was just a "bad fit." He's a bad fit anywhere where they expect to win more than 8 games per year. He's absolute trash, and his system is busted.

He is also an idiot. He's not smart. He's a fcking moron. Anyone who is as rigid as he is and insists on doing things the same way despite how obvious of a failure it was is a moron.

He continually failed for 5 years and insisted on trying to cram a square peg into a round hole. Yet there are still bozos on here lauding his intelligence because he spoke in complete sentences and had a neat haircut.

I never understood why people wanted to AG and Dorito to change scheme.
It would be the same dopes running it! AG and Dorito could run any defense and it would still suck.

If Diaz stays true to form and his word and Coach Kul produces growth, this group should put up a 50% increase from last year's sack production, which would be about 3 sacks per game and somewhere near the Top 10 in the country.

Exactly! To take it a step further, I would say that Guldens and Dildonofrio very well may be the 2 biggest morons that I have seen in my entire lifetime of watching football. That is how incomprehensibly wretched they were here.

It wasn't the 3-4. Kirby Smart ran some 3-4 at Alabama and Dave Aranda ran it at Wisconsin and will run it at LSU. Stanford runs 3-4 successfully. It's how Miami ran it under the last regime. You have to have men among boys to run 2-gap. We could have run it correctly but these guys were idiots. Plus, they want to run 24 to 27 players on defensive a game. No consistency led to confusion on many series. Players were afraid to make mistakes. Plus, their 2011, 2012 and 2013 classes were disasters with a third or half gone within 2 years. They were just buffoons.

A competently coached defense puts us no lower than in the high 40s in total defensive when with us being not that deep and playing a couple of true freshmen.

I think I'll jump off a bridge if our D is bad this year. I just can't imagine our D not improving by a very, very large margin this year.

That's why I am on record saying we will win 11-12 games and be in the playoff contention THIS season. I don't think this team will drop more than 1 game, if any at all. I think we have a chance to win it all.

I think this will be a scary good defense this year. We have the horses. And if the defense is "THAT" then we will be in business, because I KNOW the offense will bring the thunder. We will also be good on ST's. We have a good kicking combo. We are going to make a run this year. I can feel it

What is dumb in so many ways is how you completely misunderstood what I said.

For starters, In no way did I say S. Fl kids are not smart enough to execute the defense, I stated the Defense was best for the COMBINATION of intelligent players with no athletic ability. Most S FL kids are more athletic than NE kids because they can run around 365 days a year while kids up north deal with snow 4 months a year.
Second, I specifically said "THE GOLDEN 3-4". As in the 2 gap patty cake line play that requires 7 reads before you're allowed to make a play. Not any other variation.
Finally. I didn't say anything suggesting that all BIG 10 teams are big and slow. Our Defense was slow as a bi-product of Golden trying to get the size needed to execute the only scheme he knows. In order to avoid sounding like a jerk off, please read carefully before putting someone on blast next time and kindly eat a dicck. GO CANES
