Coach Kool stopped by Dillard today

hes a 3 tech...

wasnt a scheme fit with the previous staff.....might be one for this staff as he is a dt that can get up the field.....he is a "tweener" but bigger than Pop from Central (Keir Thomas)...he's like 6'2 260....but after a redshirt kid could be 280 plus and ready to play he has the frame.

Check his recent offers...he's legit....if he is a back up plan thats a great back up plan.....

These are the kind of kids that used to get offered at Miami back in the early days. Kids who can grow into the frame and wreck havoc with speed and athleticism. Coach Kool is the best in the biz as far as I know. The number of sick NFL DL he developed is ridiculous.

Looks like he can play and the offer list is impressive..

I don't know much about this kid, but Kool can offer whoever the **** he wants. I trust his evals and what he thinks he can get out of someone.

exactly this. unless we start having a ton of duds in the next year or two, i'm not even going to question his picks. his track record for putting nobodies on all-conference teams is incredible.

Aaron Thompson is definitely not a "nobody." There were a few threads about him very early on in this recruiting cycle. Lots of us wanted him to get an offer, but as usual, Alfredo and Dorito didn't think he was worthy of an offer.

Kid has the potential to be dominant. Coach Kool knows how to identify talent and then coach it up to the max. Hope he gets an offer and commits.

i wasn't talking about thompson specifically. i'm just saying that kool could offer a guy off of the street and i'd trust him based on his history.

Every player's hi-light film looks legit, so I'm nto trippping off that....

What I was impressive w/ was his hands. He swims dang near every play which is still one of the most effective move by an interior lineman. He showed great push. He was doubled teamed on several clips and pushed both OL backwards
He showed tremendous athleticism. He jumped out the buidling in pressuring the QB which caused the QB to bring the ball back down and he got a sack
He showed anger in tackling. He looked like he wanted to hurt people.

He's rated as a 3 star DT, but he's easily has 5 star tangibles. If his work ethic matches...he's a perfect fit here.

This^^^^^

Kid has all of the traits to be dominant. He is explosive off the snap and is looking to hurt somebody. Also very quick and fast for a man his size. I hadn't heard anything about his recruitment for many months. I hope they offer him and that he comes. He can be a future star.

Love it.

Lean, athletic, explosive big man. And he plays angry. This reminds me of the type of kid we'd offer back in the 90's.

As a DL coach (HS albeit), that play at 2:57 is a thing of beauty. If this guy is a plan b, then who the **** is plan A?

What rellyell said...great use of his hands, plays with good leverage, and like Macho said he plays angry. A lot to like about his film.

Coach Kool went to see 2016 DT Aaron Thompson and told him Miami has interest in him now.

As well as 2017 DT Jon Ford and 2017 DE Jordan Wright who both hold offers from Miami.

That's not true at all.

Aaron Thompson is a Sun Belt type player. ****, even the previous staff wouldn't touch him.

He just got offered by Tennessee and has a visit lined up with USCe.

Then we should make him "plan B+" because it looks like other schools have him slotted in as "plan B" as well.

Looks like he's out to hurt some people.
Including the DB on his own team (#26 @ 0:50).

Nike Combine Feb 2015 American Heritage---they were measured as follows--
Keir was 6-1 and 234
Thomson was 6-3 and 252

HE looks good but I would like to see more explosion and quickness off the line being only 250... WIth COach Kool ill trust his analysis...I hope we land this local stud

Exactly the type of guy who would wind up somewhere else busting heads in a couple years while we scratch our heads wondering if Earl Moore will blossom in his 8th year.

Anyone Kool wants I want. What did he do with that 2 star freshmans Dlinemans last year? That's right. Freshmans AA.
