Coach Jess Simpson Mic'd UP Oh My

So what if Chantz doesn't put in the work. I mean the info we heard from coaches is Harvey is a hard worker. I haven't heard Chance is a hard worker.
Follow along. No anti-Harvey conspiracy. If Chantz doesn’t put in the work then he won’t get it done. We can apply canedog’s stray cliché comment to pretty much anyone on the team who isn’t completely set as a starter (King).

I guess I was just shocked that of all the players on the team he called out he calls out the guy who is known to work the hardest. I guess he doesn't follow the team that closely. Oh well

Or maybe he made the comment because Harvey has yet to accomplish **** at UM other than grow some beautiful hair and chisel up a wonderful physique. So maybe he’s not willing to anoint him as having a death grip on 70 snaps per game. Oh well.

Well considering Harvey had two first rounds DE's ahead of him I can see why he hasn't accomplished anything yet. Also he was the most talked about DL in the Bowl Game since he actually got a chance to start. So there's that

Most talked about? How did you quantify that important accomplishment?

Jess Simpson is a great DL coach. I watched him at a couple of camps and I really enjoyed watching him coach the recruits. He is a teacher and developer, just what this young developing DL needs.

The Canes are fortunate to have him. I really believe our DL will be one of the best in the ACC with Simpson coaching up this young raw talent. Harvey will be the star, but DeAndre Johnson will also play well. Chantz is already getting significant reps and coming along. I see McCloud as a Trent Harris type of situational leader, which Simpson will get the most out of.
Hopefully he actually stays for longer than a year

Well there's this

Harvey made his first start against Oklahoma State in Miami’s bowl game, and played exceptionally well. Against the Cowboys, Harvey totaled 2.5 tackles, 1.5 TFLs, 1 sack and 1 forced fumble.

A physical freak, Harvey added 30 pounds of muscle during his redshirted freshman 2019, adding more size to go along with his 4.5 40-time and 4.5 shuttle. Harvey has all the tools and making of what you look for in a defensive end in college football.

I just want to see more of the type of DL play that we saw against ND back in 2017 when our DL was wrecking havoc and unmoveable that night! And I want to see more dominant DT play like GWillis was for us too. All the rest of the stuff will take care of itself. (questions surrounding can we recruit, etc) We have the horses to have a **** good DL this year. No excuses.
