Coach D'onofrio and Recruiting.... what is he doing?

Ppl who see football games the way Plzwork does are just the everyday clueless fans who only see the shallow side of the game....

"uh booh the offense they couldnt score a TD on that drive they suck" typical clueless fan reactions.

When ppl w/ real football IQ know that when they see a garbage defense on the field 2/3 of a game and wonders why most of the quarter has came and went and the offense still isnt on the field yet would know that it seems that the defense is more of a problem then anything else on this team.

I'm not surprised b/c most internet fans on messageboards are mostly part of the clueless everyday football fans.

Consigliere you are not making sense. You want more points but you can't score a lot if you are not converting 3rd downs. You can't hit homeruns every play. You want the D to give up less points but is okay with giving up 400+ yards. The more yards you give up means the O will score and have chances to score. You want less points but is okay with d'onofrio in 3rd& 5 or 6 situations playing 10-15 yards off and giving up 1st downs instead of giving the DBs a chance to break up the play or force a to. Makes a lot of sense.

Consigliere and who ever keeps sucking off D'onofrio and "HIS" defense are clueless that's the only thing it could be at this point.

3rd down defense effects an offense more then offensive turnovers effect a defense..... w/ that said D'onofrio has been more of a handicap for our offense then Morris, James Coley, or any other player/coach you all want to say isnt good enough.

Couldn't agree more. I know some care most about 3rd downs, I was wrong to want my offense to score points and my defense to not allow points. I should have been focusing more on 3rd Down. That is a big shame on me, I am sorry. Points don't determine the game, 3rd downs do.

Ur still clueless as usual.... guess what 11-15 on 3rd down conversions mean? The offense is on the bench for 2/3 of the game.... let's break it down some more. What cant happen if ur offense is on the bench for 2/3 of a game???.... get on the field and try and score points right? get it, probably not.... lets see if we can keep going.

So once an offense is on the bench for 2/3 of a game, what's happening w/ the offense, they lose rhythm also more pressue is being put on them to execute perfectly that 1 or 2 drives they may have an opportunity to get on the field for..... is that realistic? to say that an offense cant make any mistakes, give up any sacks, be perfect on every 3rd down, hit every target, running back break every tackle b/c they wont be able to get back on the field if they dont?

It's not..... has it sunk in yet? the offense isnt going to score a TD every time, Kicker missed a FG etc, that doesnt mean they didnt do a good job moving the ball up the field... when you cant get on the field except every time FSU scores a TD it's over. The defense has failed this offense for most of the year.

The offense and the schedule is more of a reason why Miami is 7-1 then this defense by far even w/ a 1st year OC, Morris hurt, 2 top receivers out, and now Duke out.

recruiting does appear to be a reasonable area to criticize Donofrio.

There are plenty of areas he can be criticized in.. Same with AG. Yes, I said it. Al Golden is not perfect. His hair, yes.. As a coach? Not even close. I think criticism is fine... but keep it to a thread or two here and there. Stop beating a deadhorse. Blame Kehoe for an underachieving OL. Blame Coley for the offense regressing. Blame Jethro for being named Jethro. Blame Carroll for lack of improvement from WR group. Blame Barrow for LB never recognizing routes. Blame AG for our kicking game.. etc, etc.

When GOLDEN himself is putting an EMPHASIS this week on getting off the field on 3rd downs on D and has said all year the offense needs to be better on 3rd down shows your lack of knowledge. Check nfl and college and find teams that are winning consistently that don't convert or get off the field on 3rd downs.
