Coach Diaz with Joe Rose show

Why would you not play the best out of an average group?

You eliminated a word from the sentence to fit your argument. "default". Meaning the whole group is average and Manny isn't going to just play you because you are the best of them but are average yourself. He is going to find someone better through grad transfers. Which I agree with.

Manny knows that QB room better then any of us because hes practiced against them every day and for him to say that means hes not impressed by Jarren either but everyone assumes he is the potential savior because he just has to be better then Perry.

105th total offense
QB room is a mess
Only 4 recruits committed on offense
Transfers waiting to see who we hire
Recruiting opens up again tomorrow
Pursuing a new 4 star QB

This needs to get done.

It’s also weird hearing speculation about him wanting to name the entire offensive staff at once as if they’re all going to come out from behind a dropped curtain holding hands and taking a bow in front of a raucous crowd. If he cared about announcing all the hires at once why did Feely and Baker trickle out one by one?

Starting to think Manny is getting stiffarmed by every candidate.
Agreed

I maybe in the wrong, but, I can't believe that Perry and Williams are average. I have to say that they were not prepared, be it coaching and or studying, but, when you have a room of 4 players under one person and we are here saying that all four suck, 1+ 1 = maybe coaching, and self responsibility.

Perhaps dumpster fire is still lit pertaining to Canes football. We are not a desirable choice for most coaches and most top High School recruits. New dc is a buddy of Diaz, easy hire. La tech, garbage program, so job at once mighty Miami looked good to a non power 5 coach. As for search for new offensive coordinator, some guys Diaz was considering has turned down the job. As of today no solid prospect is close to signing on the dotted line.

I'm sorry, can you repeat that? I couldn't hear you because of that c@ck down your throat.

I hope you are right. (I'm not a Perry fan as it stands today. I have seen nothing that shows me he is "the guy" for us. Maybe Major....errrr...our new OC can bring the juice out of him)

Ill say this, I didn't hear any glowing endorsement from Manny in that interview for any of the guys already in the QB room. Didn't hear him say, "We have a good group of Qbs as it stands today and we feel confident we will find our starter from that group to get us ready to beat UF in 7.5 months".. People talk about Manny and "coach speak" but he didn't give us "coach speak" when it came to his views of the QBs on the roster and his confidence in them.

I agree with you, but, I have to stand here and say/hope that a good QB coach can bring out the best in one of the three that we have, I know the issues with Cade are off field and for Perry they are both off field and study habits, but we know we have been on this forum bashing Richt Jr. for being inept (that's being kind). Again, a good QB coach can do wunders for our team, we don't need Trevor Lawrence ( but I would take him in a heart beat) to win games. Just manage the game and get the ball in our receivers hands.

He might already have his guy. Seems like he is trying to fill out the entire offensive staff.

Wow he really talked up this defensive staff. Said "In 15 years we're going to look back and say, wow, those guys all coached together"

And before yesterday Tennessee was looking for an oc since the end of November

Wait a minute..you mean we lost Tyrique Stephenson to a team that doesn't even have a DC???????? Good god. Smh. Can it be any more blatant what happened there? **** shame.

Georgia has been looking for a DC longer than we have been looking for an OC. Are they striking out too?

Georgia doesn't have the recruiting issues we have either. They are top 3, we're 42. Not a good comparison, they're in a different league right now.

As much as I'd like to know who the OC is and the rest of the O staff, I'd much rather Manny take the time to get it right. Certainly time is of the essence with recruiting opening back up TH, but getting the right OC is imperative and priority numero uno at this point in time. HIs comments with Rose this morning indicated he's fully aware that recruiting is upcoming and seems fully engaged with it and has a great perspective on the landscape and what his needs are.

"Other things" came into play. We can front if we want there is absolutely no way Rique could say with a straight face he's more confident and comfortable at Georgia

Only UM fans think our D staff were full of bums and downplayed any and all success they had this year.

Had the #1 pass D in the country? "Inflated numbers! We didn't play OU, Clemson, Washington State, or any other air raid offense to REALLY test them out!"....

top 5 overall D in the country? "Psh..Come on! Is that a true stat? We played a schedule of bum offenses! Lets play the LA Rams and REALLY see how good we are!"...

top 10 in almost every major category in the nation? "Not good enough. Rumph and Banda and Patke gotta go! Need upgrades across the board!"

Smh. Manny might have exaggerated but he knows these guys and believes in them and so do I.

I don't check Rivals recruiting as you do, 247 has us at 32. And another thing, when we start locking up the # 3 class in recruiting, you can bet your sweet cheeks we'll be looking for an OC and DC too, because they will move on to bigger jobs.
