Coach Corey was a well respected local legend, long time Coach of the Gwen Cherry Bulls, he affected the lives of so many kids in Liberty City, he was a really good humble person that if you knew him you loved him.

He was a former MNW Bull & assistant coach & actually coached both Tim Burns & Kahlil Brantley when they were both at Doral Academy.

He was somebody that our multiple coaches on our staff knew very well & were good friends with, Coach Telly, Coach Field, Cooney, DVD etc all knew Coach Corey. He used to bring a lot of the Gwen Cherry kids on campus to Miami for events years ago, I think he was even at the first Paradise camp back in 2016 when Richt first held it.

He was just getting his HC career started at Miami Senior, he had lead them to a 8-4 record & made the playoffs in his first season, which was impressive considering Miami Senior had lost a bunch of talent due to kids transferring.

The whole **** thing is just messed up, he was a good man that did a lot to help the community, he didn't deserve to go out like that smh.
