smfh you still don’t get it and sound like the typical idiot who thinks bc we ran a 4-3 and beat up on bad teams that we had some great defense. PEOPLE LIKE YOU GOT MANNY HIRED.

Seriously, were you an adult by the year 2005? If not then you have no idea what great defense looks like.

I’m 39 and have watched Canes religiously since ‘91 (I was 11). I’ve watched in good times and bad. I didn’t want Shannon, Al, Richt or Manny hires. Manny I didn’t want at all and found it lazy of them to do so especially in the time frame they did it, but once hired I embraced it and loved everything he did in the off season, but he hasn’t won and that’s what’s important.

I’ve watched the Desert Swarm D shut our asses out in ‘94

Growing up in Michigan I watch the ‘97 Michigan teaM D kick *** leading them to National Championship

Watch the greatest team ever in ‘01 dominate

These days you will never see these type of Ds ever again due to rules and offensive strategy. So defense like Manny Diaz’s are the new era good Ds

And yet he averaged 20 spots worse every year as a Canes coach than other, better, more qualified DCs.

He was treated like he was significantly better than he was is all I’m saying.

Clemson had the number one scoring defense in the nation last season. As in, the best in the entire sport. Jesus Christ man....
 
Manny defensive scheme has been undisciplined since his arrival. People killing the LB play but the scheme screams for a uber athlete to cover up for coaching of bad technique and gap integrity. Even when we blitz we have guys running into each other and this has been happening for years. But DTs were penetrating caused chaos in the back field. Creating sacks and TFL. The problem this year is Blake has made the DT running stoppers instead of penetrating. Which means the LB now need to have gap integrity which was never taught to them correctly in the 3 years they were here. 1 of the many problems I see in this year scheme.

Bro every time Shanny went against a Power rushing attack, a freshman QB making his 1st start or making EVERY horrible QB look like Aaron Rogers...lol Shanny is a false gawd
 
I'm not understanding why this argument is going on. :dispirited: The guy is the HC now and the DC is an idiot so who cares what Manny did Texas, MSU etc. It doesn't change that we suck now, it's not like we're going to demote him back to DC so arguing this is dumb. We need a new DC that is actually good at the job. End.
 
Are you guys really saying Zack is better than Shaq? I remember Zack getting shredded on here for poor play.
