CMR's lifetime record against GT is 13-2. Having coaches the last few years that couldn't handle the option was maddening. I hope he has lots of film to share with the "D", they have always given us a hard time Would love to see this become an automatic win opponent.

I'm not sure where this is coming from. For all the failures Golden and DO had, they were actually decent against GT thanks to their Temple time playing Navy.

The last staff gave up more yards each time we faced GT. They just got lucky with injuries and turnovers.

Miami is 6-1 vs. Ga Tech in the last 7. That is maddening, indeed. Maddeningly consistent.

you ought to be banned for having your first post be in support of Golden or his male ***** Dorito

fack off!!

No such thing as an automatic win. GT isn't a good team but we need to be prepared and ready to go! An I expect Coach Richt to have us ready.

Worst part of playing GT is all the cut blocks. **** suckers diving at knees every play

UM gave up around 320 yds per game rushing against Gtech the last three years. GA gave up 194/399/268. So, a bit better but not crazy better. Last year (194) is encouraging, though.

Have to to take into account that those rushing totals practically account for their total yards

It seems like almost every team gives up yards and chunk plays to GT. Sound, assignment football coupled with aggression that's oriented at forcing fumbles is the way we'll stop them in two weeks.

I haven't watched them enough this year to adequately judge their defense. Does anyone have insight on that side of the ball?

Couldn't be happier that we have a bye week before playing those maggots. Need that extra time to school up the freshmans LBs.

Does Diaz have any history against the triple option?

This!!!! They may have rushed for 330 yards... But total yardage would be around 400....give or take

All I know is I want to see our DEs do to Thomas what McCord did to him his Frosh season.

Like I said before.... If there was one player i wished played in this defense, it would of been mccord

Closest thing I can see is Texas vs new Mexico 2012. Texas won 45-0.

Obvious talent difference so may not be worth even bringing up but utter domination and they played sound.
I also am not aware of the differences between triple option gt runs and that of new Mexico at the time

Diaz mantra vs. Lobos' option: 'Do your job' - Inside Texas

I'm definitely not worried about GT. Our recent coaches have done well against them. This time we have a real HC and real position coaches.

After seeing FSU get bombed and ND not doing too much, I'm not worried about any team at this point.

But we need to keep improving, stay healthy with who we have and produce on the field.

If we do that, this could be a pretty good first year for the Richt era.

Also of interest, CMR undefeared at GT's Bobby Dodd Stadium. Go Canes, let's keep that tecord unblemished.
