CMR shotgun

Agreed, no sense nor reason to go find footage from 20+ years ago to try and prove some warped point you have, or an axe to grind. Let sleeping dogs lie.

Mark brought the fan base back to the program, recruited well, and left the cupboards better than how he found them when he took over. He also spear-headed the IPF fund and poured a million out of his own pocket to help finance it. He moved on from millions more owed to him so that the university would have the monies to sign a Top flight HC and to pay for his assistants. Was his offense archaic? Yes. Was it wrong to hire his son as the QB Coach? Yes. But no one can dispute his love of Miami the university, the city, and all things Canes. So for all that is holy....let it go.

Was there ever a clear explanation as to why his whole time at UGA, CMR ran a pro-style offense, generally under center. Then suddenly when he came to Miami he ran the shotgun-clapping RPO? Were these the offenses he ran at FSU way back when?

Yes there's a clear explanation. He didn't have the personnel. The OL couldn't move anyone, and he never had a great blocking TE or FB.
