CMR is the college Jeff Fisher
extremely overrated but was given the benefit of the doubt for a long time for some unknown reason
Goff was thought of as a busts until McVay comes in an now hes looking like a top tier NFL QB

Accurate. Fisher's last year he mentioned preparing to face NE that it was always tough game planning for Danny Woodhead...who had been gone from the Pats for several years.

Game passed him by and he got lazy. Same with Richt, only we are witnessing it in turbospeed.
 
I do see some parallels between the two richt never made a title game but I would say uga's heart break loss in the sec title game against bama in 2012 is similar to fisher and the Titans Superbowl heartbreaking loss to the Rams in '99. It's as close as both guys came to winning a title. Several mediocre years for Fisher on the Rams and now richt is starting his run of them

The Jeff Fisher comparison is actually spot on. Good call.

I have been thinking the same thing. Fisher had people thinking Goff was a bust and even Gurley was overrated after a disappointing 2nd season.

McVay brings in a new offense with similar personnel and they explode.

Not exactly the same situation here, but honestly think the biggest problem is with the coaching and scheme & not the players.
 
Mark Richt is the college Marty Schottenheimer

"Good coach" for a very long time. Would get his team to 10+ wins. Respected, good guy.

He won 200 ******* games in his career...but ain't never win a single game that mattered because his offense was dogshyt.

Exactly with golden the excuse was the lack of talent, Diaz comes in and this lack of talent is immediately top 25 and now top 2

Our issues aren’t players it’s the scrub coaching
 
Our head football coach has dementia. Read that to yourself a few times. It actual reality. That’s how terrible our lives are.
