Clemson, S.C.—Clemson wide receiver Germone Hopper will transfer to another school for his final year of eligibility. Hopper plans to graduate this summer, then play for another school next fall. The native of Charlotte, N.C. had 71 career receptions for 797 yards over the last three years. He red-shirted his first year.

“Germone has decided to finish up his degree at Clemson and play his fifth year at another school,” said Head Coach Dabo Swinney. “We are proud of the progress he made as a Clemson Tiger and appreciate the contributions he made to our program over the last four years. We wish him all the best.”

Hopper had 21 receptions for 317 yards and a touchdown in 2015 when he played in 15 games, three as a starter on Clemson’s number-two ranked team that finished with a 14-1 record. He had his best game against Wake Forest when he had three receptions for 129 yards and a touchdown.

6'0 180 lbs...looks like he's a slot guy...like the JUCO guy better though

Why are some proposing we take other teams garage sales when we're rebuilding with capable studs. Staff only been at this full time for a month and half. No signs they need help determining personnel needs.

it would be a 1 yr rental like russell wilson at wisconsin. its not like is a full time commitment but would add depth to wr group. that needs it. cb is another position richt wants a graduate transfer.

Zero reason not to take a guy like this. As stated by many it doesn't hurt scholarship numbers going forward and only builds depth. He has played in the ACC already and has had some succcess. If Berrios, Bruce, and Malcolm all beat him out in the slot then that's a good problem to have.

You need to redshirt freshmen if you are able, so bringing in a capable player to build depth and keep freshmen from wasting a year of play on ST is needed.
