Diaz is a better game day coach and better at picking a staff (if I am not mistaken- Blake Baker is the interim HC at LSU and of course, Lashlee). So that’s a HC and an interim HC for a dude who has only been coaching for a handful of years. Have any of Cristobal’s hires gone on to P4 HC jobs?

Cristobal is obviously the much, much better recruiter between the two. However- Diaz could potentially hire better recruiters and close the gap somewhat, whereas I don’t know if anything will ever change Cristobal’s game management.

Yes, but things could have been so much better if we handled our business. A "D" game against Louisville and a "C" game against SMU.

Play at a consistent level. I keep pointing to Indiana because they have done that every game. There's no reason we can't do the same thing. That is 1000% on Mario. You don't see that from Indiana's coach. His team doesn't beat themselves. They consistently play at a high level every week. That's what frustrates me. I could accept losing even if we showed up with a "B" game. We have beaten ourselves in our 2 losses.

It’d help, but we don’t need it. Still several other outs. Still a longshot of course, but we were 15/1 to win the ACC this morning. I think a Miami win tomorrow just combined with this Louisville loss probably puts it at 10/1 no matter who wins Duke/UVA. I think. We’ll see. Just get a dub tomorrow and let this dumb league keep staggering around itself drunk as ****.

Something tells me that all these officials have been given the word to get other teams out of Miami’s way. Just a hunch. If you were the ACC and you had screwed over your best money maker, but now found out that said cash cow was your only ticket to the playoffs, you might start doing things differently.

Watch the Pitt/Domer game and see if there are any ticky tacky Stuff called on the Irish that usually gets called on us.
