This was a huge loss for Clemson and just upset the applecart in the ACC.

Free Shoes has to be giddy about what happened. They'll race up the ranking systems, probably undeservedly, as in the words of one poster here, LSU was probably *** Cheeks of a team in reality and deserved the mollywhopping they got from the Criminoles.

That said, if Duke can beat Clemson at Home, there's no reason we can't go out and be stout and handle our business on Saturday. It's a wide open conference.

2025…
100% and he played as well as anyone we have across our DBs not named Kinchens. Kid was solid. My comment was that he broke that pass up to force the turnover on downs that ended Clemson's last drive.
Ok, my bad!

Jess Simpson is a really good football coach, and after watching him coach up high school recruits at various camps, I have always respected him as a great teacher of football players
That’s who that was! I saw him on the sideline, but I couldn’t place the face.

We still selling needing yearsss to get the RIGHT players, meanwhile first time coach takes DUKE and wins 9 his first year as HC, now beat clemson.. Meanwhile we have everyone in program saying they need more time and if you mention coaches turning it around early you get branded a mope, lol... FML
Not making excuses but We had cancers on our roster.

Don't write Dabo's epithet just yet. Boosters will be opening up their wallets bigtime over the offseason to correct whatever bad happens this season. Clem$on has always had that bag money when needed.

I don't disagree, but when it's starts to go in the wrong direction, it's hard to stop that momentum.

Bag Money isn't nearly the advantage as it once was. What made the bag game so dangerous before NIL was that the infrastructure made it possible for schools to cheat without others being able to do so, or at least not offer as much. Clemson was able to spread money around and be reasonably certain that no one would be the wiser, and even if someone found out, they wouldn't have the guts to snitch. It's small town America, no one is willing to put their life or career on the line because Bubba the Defensive Lineman got a 100 dollar handshake.

Schools like Miami, USC, SMU, etc. all have wealthy boosters that want to throw money around, but as we've seen, it's a lot tougher to put money into a student athlete's hands, without getting caught when you are in a big city. Guess what NIL helps with? Now you can get money into the hands of student athletes, LEGALLY without that fear. Are schools still trying to take care of kids under the table? Of course, but now schools can offer something legally, which lessens the gap from what it was Pre-NIL. Combine that with Miami having a coach with legitimate recruiting chops, and Dabo isn't able to poach South Florida talent as easy as he once did. South Carolina showing signs of life isn't helping either.

Clemson’s downfall started when Venables left. They also haven’t done a good job replacing a generational talent at QB. DJ wasn’t it (at Clemson). Dabo is also arrogant & should have embraced the portal more.

Clemson will improve by the time we play them. It will still be a stiff test for us…but we’ve improved most at the spots there previously major deficiencies for us (OL, DL and LB). With our new coordinators, we have a real shot to beat them this year but it won’t be easy.

Did he attend either of those schools or are his parents close to the Board of Trustees? If not, then as a UM fan I don't understand how he could be a viable HC candidate.
Have you seen the turn around he's done a Duke? He worked at Texas A&M as the DC before leaving for Duke to become the HC. Stanford makes sense considering what he's done at Duke, a school with equal academic challenges/rigors but superior football talent that's underachieving..
