A spot where we haven't broken through yet but a spot that could be significant is on the punt return side.
Clemson is 92nd in punt return yard average allowed, Miami is 5th in the nation in punt return yard average.
No one has taken one to the house against Clemson yet either, but they've been playing with fire all year.
Clemson's FG kicking situation is terrible, 114th in the nation in FG percentage, and granted no one has missed against us all year Clemson has the worst kicking game we'll see all season. They've also missed 4 extra points and are 108th in the country in extra point percentage.
Clemson is also one of the worst kickoff return teams in the country, 98th in yards per return average. Obviously a key in field position and we're sub 50% in touchbacks, so defending the kickoff is key.
Cold night where points could be at a premium with these two defenses and these are spots where Miami needs to benefit.
We're one of the worst teams in the country on punts but our punt coverage when need has been rock solid. Granted we've only had 8 returns on the 63 punts we've kicked this year. So that's not really a great sample size.
tl;dr: Clemsons FG game is atrocious, they are terrible on punt coverage and kickoff coverage and they are pretty terrible at kickoff returns as well.
