Clemson is beatable

Yes they are, but not by us.

ambush comin

CLEM - 40
UM - 20

this.

although i think the final score is 41-10

yeah. I thought about that afterwards.

don't know where we get 20 pts from...unless it's a garabge TD

agreed. 20 points? i'd be surprised if homer finishes with more than 20 yards.

the difference in this game is, surprisingly not rosier, they can limit the damage he can do based on play calling.

the problem is that our OL is so mismatched against clemson that we could literally finish with less than 200 yards in total offense. i don't see us getting more than 50-60 yards rushing against them, and that will be the reason they blow us out.

I don't think you boys understand how good their defense is. we may end up having negative rushing yards

This is my concern, how the heck do we move the ball. We won't be able to run and Rosier just isn't accurate enough to make enough plays in the passing game. I think we battle with them early, but D wears down and we lose something like 31-10

I mean they had a once in a decade player in Watson, so yes, but they are going to be the best team we’ve played. They also have been in several championship games, they will be ready.

In order to beat them, we need to have communication along the OL be significantly better. Virginia and Pitt whipped us with twists and stunts. Clemson will do this, too, but they actually have talented players instead of overachieving converted OL.

On Defense, we absolutely need to have a plan for Renfrow on 3rd downs. We can get away with letting up a few 3rd and longs against some of the competition we’ve played, but you cannot against Clemson. They are very good at getting to 2 and 6 or better, so when you get them into a 3rd down situation it is your small window to get them off the field.

Lastly, STs, mainly punting. You cannot give them 3 or 4 short fields because of bad punts.

If we do those 3 things, we are in this game with a shot to win. If one of those 3 breaks down, it becomes a very tall task, if not impossible.

Typical over simplified fanboy fourth grade analysis. Tell us something we don't already know rose bud. Instead of "communicating" on the o-line, why don't they fire off the ball and ******* hit someone instead of getting pushed 5 yards into the back field. How's that for a game plan, tranny.

Did the internet tough guy routine make ya feel better?

How the **** do we have any idea what team will show up for Miami? It's like a complete craps shoot.

Exactly. If we get the Miami that played well against ND and VT, we might roll Clemson. If we get the crap we've seen 6 of the last 8 quarters, we get rolled. At this point I'm just hoping for the best.

Getting even 3 on the board will be tough if the OL plays like it did against UVA and Pitt.

From what I remember, the OL did a fairly good job in pass protection against FSU which has similar talent on their DL. IF they can replicate that performance there will be opportunities as their DB's are the weak link.

Sorry, but if Rosier hits those deep passes, EVERYTHING looks better. He had time to hit those passes and simply missed them. I think the whole team was losing focus because they knew Rosier was playing like crap. It happens. Saturday is a new game and a fresh slate, and Rosier needs to be on top of his game. If he's not, we won't win, and it will get ugly. If he is, expect us to play some inspired football.

Everyone needs to take a deep breath. I am just as ****ed about Friday as everyone else but can we stop with Clemson being the New England Patriots or something similar. They are a very well coached team and have some great players but they are not nearly the team that beat us 58-0 and we are not that team that lost that game.

Their QB can be just as hot and cold as Malik can be. Their offense struggles at times too and feeds off their defense and turnovers just like we have. The thing they hands down have is more depth and especially at RB.

Yea, we looked like crap on Friday but Al Golden isn't the coach anymore so lets drop the immediate overreaction that the transitive property will hold in this matchup and we will get throttled.

I expect us to come out and fight and the thing about Clemson is they know it will be a fight. They know we wont roll over and die.

They have a first year starting qb just like vatech and ND did.

With that said and our defense anything can happen.

I am really in your head and it's just so fantastic. Your whimpy little *** starts a thread about this team being soft, but you can't handle people fuggin' with you on a message board. Instead you follow me around from thread to thread like a junior HS girl I didn't take to the dance. Get the fugg out here band camp.

lol y'all be hyping Clemson like they're a loaded team full of future hofs??

"Clemson is beatable".... so is Duke.

We are the ones they need to be worried about not the other way around foh with the soft shx.

Statistically, Clemson is better on defense this season than they were last year.

We will have to play out of our minds to win. If I'm a betting man, there's no way I can bet on my canes on this one.

No, let's all be super positive and throw realism out the window. Think of puppies and rainbows only. This board does not allow rational thinking, so just homer-ism to the extreme. Only remember our good quarters and pretend the bad one's won't repeat themselves.
