Clemson’s underclassmen returning...

Goes to show Miami isn’t doin something right. 3 projected first rounders returning and we can’t keep draft fringe guys.

We need to start recruiting kids who have a brain.

Not that this is tied to the above, but I just saw on Twitter DJ Ivey has had a camera crew following him around all season with documented episodes. Wha?!?! This kid is a 3 star. The culture down here is the real problem.

yup thats the culture down here.
Alot of our kids think they have made it..and some of the elites go to their bama visit and see their chaperone with a new ford raptor,Challenger, camaro or whatever saban n boosters are given the bama kids for 100 dollars a month and they are impressionable. we are so scared of the ncaa our recruits use to go to the bowling alley lol

Official visit to Miami for the past 15 years consists of: U cookie cake, rusty pelican dinner, and bowling alley. And people wonder why we cant get elites for OVs. We are a mickey mouse organization.

We used to do the wine and dine players thing better than ANYONE. In the 80s and 90s forget about it.

But then the school started becoming a nerd zone for kids who couldnt get into Duke, and Shalala finished it off.

You’ve got to be one of the the most oblivious posters here. You have zero idea about how we recruit now or how we recruited then, or how anyone else recruits. You just want to bītch like a female. Apparently you don’t have an outlet for bītchīng where you live because you get slapped around a lot so you stay quiet. This is your outlet to whine like a female.

LMAO on the Boogeyman stuff.

Yeah, these kids are forgoing $ millions for $50K and an insurance policy. GTFO.

It's culture. As much as you guys want to defend it and say people like Joe Yearby are taking a chance and all this crap, it's just culture.

These kids ain't done at Clemson and that's that. Meanwhile, we have kids who'd rather make an NFL practice squad then give UM one more season.

This is the area where the staff has their work cut out for them the most. You can go ahead and paint whatever picture you want about it, but if you want to compete with Clemson and Alabama it starts here.

Dabi isnt a coach i would want to send my son too if hes talking him into coming back to school where the scholarship is worth maybe 10k for the year and hes turning down tens of millions of dollars risking i jury. Hes a scumbag if you ask me if he was begging this kid ferrell yo come back

Now if ferrell didnt want to hear it then i say its more about clemson experience because hes already damnchampio !

Its a puzzling choice for him

Absolutely hilarious. Most of those guys were 1st/2nd round picks. Meanwhile McIntosh (likely 3rd-4th) and Norton (late round) decide to leave.

I knew the nutters on here would make this post. LOL Almost every team and the especially the great ones lose a ton of guys every year. We had 4 guys who might leave and 2 came back. That is a % I will take every single time yet this board is little biach *** girls . You keep some you lose some . You wish the guys who you lost well. Mccintosh made sense leaving if you need money as he is 2nd or 3rd rounder. Norton not so much but oh well.

I've been out of Dade County for decades. Love the story where Optimist kids were being recruited and paid. Maybe that explains why I got run over by Central Boys Club back in the day. We were competitive but **** they just keep coming. I still have nightmares of Freddie Miles from 12 years of age and on. LoL. Anyway, when kids are being handled this way as 12 year olds what do you expect? It's a South Florida thing.

You seem to know alot about this sort of stuff....
So what do you suggest UM do to enhance the experiences of kids on their official visits?
(and it has to be within NCAA rules, of course).

Dealing with this aspect of Miami culture is Richt’s toughest job. I’m not sure anyone can win those battles consistently.

Hopefully the roster will soon be stacked, and The U is reloading.
