Clemson’s national championship ring

If we had gone through the season undefeated, won the conference title, then absolutely thrashed the other 2 undefeated teams in the playoffs, you really think we wouldn't be talking about best ever?

You mean if they played? It's close. I went back and looked at the schedule/scores. Both had a couple of suspect games, but were able to turn it on and dominate when the stage was big. Miami was a better team early season. They were ready to kick Penn State in game one. Clemson was still not sorted at QB and played a close one with A&M. Lawrence developed dramatically over the season and CU was complete in every way by playoff time. I may be biased, but I'd give Miami a big edge early season and maybe a very slight edge late season because of a more experienced Ken Dorsey. But my point was that after the season they just had, they are not out of bounds to be thinking like they are

Speaking of Ken, does everyone know he left Appalachian to be Buffalo QB coach a couple of months ago? Not sure how I missed that until just now when I clicked on his link.
