Did we? Because he came in as a skinny twig who was not ready to start.

Besides, the point was about recruiting HS kids vs. transfers, so don't try to bullsh!te everyone by claiming that Rousseau shouldn't count for "development" because he was some finished-product-ready-to-start as a true freshman.

"Disruptive". Hilarious. So, yeah, Miami didn't develop Rousseau at all. Because "disruptive"...

So a guy has to suck as a true freshman before Miami coaches get any credit? Come on now, how dumb does that sound...

Again, I only responded to the point that we had developed nobody, zero, zilch. I just named one FIRST ROUNDER off the top of my head.

Coaches come and go. You can't suddenly start/stop giving credit like that. Besides, GR played in Manny's defense, so whether he learned technical skills from one coach and was given the opportunity to play within the system by another coach, it's a team effort.

What makes you think he would want to coach USC? His deep California ties? He needs the money? I can guarantee you one thing, Texas offered more money to Meyer than USC ever could and Meyer turned them down. He'd quit for Notre Dame and that's it. Seeing as ND almost lost to FSU and Toledo, that gig might be more available than we thought.

All this depends on what expectations you had for this team..me it was 10 wins. Way to soon to actually judge what this team will be come November..if we win 10 plus games does margin of victory matter that much? Are we in that position talent wise to be worried about margin of victories..for me its a no. Again all this depends on your expectations. And as Miami fans, are expectations are delusional to both degrees. At the end of the day it’s about W/L

They were already in talks with him in the past, he chose Jacksonville

Kelly has got to be on his way out at ND. I remember a couple years ago they wanted him gone then he made a run only to get blasted in the playoffs. That’s the ceiling with him. Gonna get rocky up there this year.

Is it the sole cause or just a symptom of a deeper problem? There’s no upside in keeping a guy around after you’ve seen enough.

Diaz them did develop Rosseau, just like Golden and No D developed Muhammad Wilkerson. Problem is neither can develop a team, a cohesive unit that can play with any team thats not str8 garbage

OK, but we did just develop a first-round DE, right? Like, my eyes didn't deceive me, right? That's the only point I was making.

CFB is stuck in a cycle of constantly firing coaches too soon and rewarding coaches too soon. I believe the vast majority of colleges need 4-5 years before they can really imprint on a program. Sure there are outlier when coaches suck really bad and deserve to get fired after 2-3 seasons just as well as there are outliers where coaches make show vast improvements quickly. I agree Manny is teetering on the edge and deserves a fair share of criticism.....but i'm not blind to the fact that a quick answer to our problems is extremely unlikely. There are still quite a few positives from the MD era that he can build on. All is not lost YET.

People are clamoring for Christobal and he's 3-3 in his last 6 games with a loss to just fired Clay Helton.

Yeah they did . He is still a garbage coach. No one has to take away anything positive from him. The game results speak for themselves. We had Rosseau when we lost to FIU and La Tech and Phillips when they got dragged for 800 yards. He needs to develop a team.

Coach Arce is a cool dude. Coach Vic Sooto is a goof. He really thought they had a chance at JTT and tried pulling a oh one spot left if JTT commits that’s the spot, so you can commit now if you want so he ghosted their OV and was already at Stanford. He’s a **** recruiter, lot of other kids were bashing them said they were phony guys in recruiting.

SC should/will go big with the staff. My question is if it’s Fickell, does he get Marcus Freeman to jump ship?
