Clay Helton update

No it wasn't. Clay Helton was a Lynn Swann hire (I believe he was the last a.d.) when admin changed the first second they came in they said he was on notice. I don't recall if it was a new president or new a.d. but they let it be known they expected excellence and if he couldn't provide it he'd be gone. Last year bought him this year that's all. Our president and admin encourage our situation and don't see this as a problem until it becomes a national source of embarrassment. That's the only point they'll review him.
Since their standards are what they are, what do u think they'd see as a national embarrassment? We talking.. lose to FSU and Duke? That would be an awfully low bar.

i was meaning more in relation to the season and it being week 2

but are we going to just pretend like Manny hasn’t been here since 2016? Y’all act like he inherited some monster rebuild. He was on staff the entire time and left for like 3 days. We were one year removed from playing in a NY6. I think we’ve had enough of the Manny experience
There is nothing Manny can do wrong for some of these people. He can lose to FSU and they'd try to talk FSU up as a good team instead of saying a single negative word about the guy.

Their portal exodus will be something we need to monitor closely. They should've waited for Urban Meyer to be fired after this or next season. He would resurrect USC quick.

Ummm. This is his 7th year and he's coming off a horrible loss. This is Manny's third year and he's coming off a win. Other than that, it's exactly the same situation! Good job!
One thing you need to learn, time is not what determines if a coach is good or not. Steady improvement is what does that. Diaz is getting worse. Al Golden reborn and just the same snake

Nah. As fiu should've showed y'all it's not about who we lose to because the schedule is dumbed down enough for us to still average 9 wins or so. It'll take the fans rebelling and **** like flying banners. I hate that it'll take that because it sets the program back so far. But it's the only way to get their attention.

Since he turned down Texas, I think it is clear that Meyer isnt taking any college job but Notre Dame.

Please point out these "Manny-praise-only/no-single-negative-word" porsters. I want to give them a piece of my mind.

Its year 3 for Manny and you're seeing the same chit. The lack of fundamental football just boggles my mind.

As sloppy as Miami looked they won so we'll see how things look against the alma mater. Loss should mean a USC style exit for the HC. The ad is ***** trash while manny is just a pawn in an overall geek scheme.

I don't get how no one understands the problem with constantly targeting transfers as a program. This year you'll see the results of what you've been getting told for years. Look at our ends this year... Since portal started we've targeted ends every year and we've developed no one. Well now as a result a defense that is dependent on pressure out of the ends to free up linebackers and safeties in the pass rush is simply getting exploited... Put some pride in our own recruiting and development instead of taking already developed missused kids from elsewhere.
