I actually like Helton. Not only did he play QB at Auburn, he also has lots of coaching experience as a coordinator.

Good question. But, we hired Manny away from Mississippi State. He was fired from Texas.

Maybe the rule applies to newly fired coaches, not coaches who were ever fired?
