What does that do to the game? The players will probably go home, we won't be able to practice.

Pretty sure there were a few days off scheduled anyway. WAtching the forecas now, I bet there is no school all next week if Miami gets the kind of wind and rain predicted right now. it looks like the main storm isn't hitting until late Monday into Tuesday anyway. Doesn't bode well for reopening Wednesday

It's a fluid situation. The coaches and players will probably be with their families as it would be difficult for the team to focus when loved ones are in harms way.

Dorian keeps slowing down and is projected to still be upper cutting the state on Tuesday. No way classes are back in on Wednesday lol.

I'm less worried about practice and more worried about whether the game will get cancelled or rescheduled. The hurricane is going to be sitting over Central Florida on Wednesday morning, which means it could still be a strong tropical storm by the time it hits North Caroline over the weekend. There is a pretty decent chance that the team will be unable to travel or UNC will request a postponement due to the weather.

Latest from the University

The following facilities will be closed effective 4 p.m. Saturday:
  • Shalala Student Center Complex
  • University Center Pool
  • University Center Campus Store (USPS kiosk closes at 1 p.m. Saturday)
  • Wellness Center

That's what happened last time with Appalachian State. They released the players to go home to be with their families. The people at App State were ****ed. They did not understand our situation. They should have been more accommodating and agreed to reschedule for a subsequent year. If a game with UM was so important they could have done that. Instead we ended up in litigation.

I would not be in favor of playing UNC next week if we don't have enough practice. If players are scattered, some might not make it back in time to travel to the game.

With that prior hurricane, many players were needed at home to help with preparation for the hurricane. That might be the case again.
