Class Impact: Chamon Metayer to Miami

"My recruitment will still be open, but for now I'm committed to Miami"
Translation - I'm committed to Miami til something better comes along. 2 years is a long time folks

Better to be in front with everyone trying to make up ground than us trying to get him to decommit. I don't get your complaint. Is it better for him not to commit until signing day? There are zero kids who will shut down recruiting two years out. Be happy we got to him first.

does the last line of his tweet really say "my recruitment will still be open but as of now I will be committing to the University of Miami" ?

I mean unless the def of commitment changed I dont know what to make of this.

Regardless, if he comes I dont care....my theory for recruiting is synonymous to my usage of my towel....today it starts at my face and works its way down to dry my balls, and overnight all is forgotten and tomorrow it will be used on my face again.
😝🤣

That's why I don't care about any 2021 prospect.
My 100% focus is on locking up a strong 2020 class. We have a serious schedule in 2021 and we're gonna need those guys to be rolling at their peek!

Hate this. You are 100% right though. But why commit? If your recruitment is still open, then you aren’t committed. Hopefully Manny understands these clowns now.

Wish they would only allow commitments spring of the junior year the earliest.

He and Harris is a elite tandem, Williams may grow into a end Johnson is a stud and Dedrick Smith's gonna keep growing 🙌

Appreciate the write-up Stephan. It's better and more informative than any other post that followed it.

Yes, this kid is a few years from actually signing, but we all know that. A lot can change from right now until then and he might not even be worth the offer then.

What would you have this staff do? Not offer or if they do make sure he takes a blood oath, rejecting his offer if not? What is even your point of reading or posting if you're going to be so damned negative and cynical?

It is all part of the game. It's like you're all noobs to it. I would rather us have him and the top class on paper now than FSU or whomever. We win games, we can build and maintain off of it. Staff has to keep grinding and not have your sad attitudes. If they did that, they might as well fold the program.

Underclassmen days are for this reason alone. Identify talent, offer, and hopefully sign one day. You still ***** though, Jesus.

Only 2 years from signing day.
That's OK. Planet doesn't end until around 2030 due to climate change according to AOC. Still plenty of time and kid will even get a good 4 or 5 in NFL before it all ends.

Offering 2025 or 6 kids will get dicey, though. In the meantime we'll have to tear down and rebuild both IPF and Hard Rock to meet her new carbon footprint standards. And no more hot dogs in the Light as we phase out cows...due to flatulence.
