Not as far fetched as I thought. Win the next two convincingly and are we ranked at 8-4?

Maybe.

Isn't Notre Dame considered an ACC team for bowl tie-in purposes? If so, that's the obvious choice for the Orange Bowl.

8-4 Miami is definitely in the CFP top 25. I think they are 29 or 30 now with lots of teams ahead of them due for a loss (Navy, for example, plays Notre Dame).

Point being, SOME ACC team will be in the top 25 by seasons end, so this will be a moot point. Right now, Miami is highest in the outside the top 25 category and has the easiest 2 remaining games, so definitely possible.

But Pitt, UVA or VT could leapfrog by winning out and then playing Clemson tight.

ironically the top 25 still HUGE. nobody seems to pay any attention to games between teams outside the top 25. call me dumb or whatever but i would consider 9-4 and a top 20 finish to be pretty good for manny's first year.

Six teams with 4 losses were ranked in last years final regular season poll.
I think we'll sneak in after we win the next 2.

The problem is VT.
If they beat GT, the winner of the VT/UVA game will get the Coastal and be ranked higher than us with 3 losses.
Unless, of course, Pitt wins out...

Bottom line is we seemed to have our footing after UVA. Figure out a way to beat GT.
I just hope i'm flying to a nice, warm party spot in late December.
