Look for this kid to flip to us from the Gators, someone in the southwest program told me if the miami staff wants him he'll be a cane

If we do, we should wait until a decommit, because if we land Khalil Laddler, thall give us three elite cbs. No need to chase them away for McWilliams.

If this kid gets an offer before Bandy SMH

Not to be inflammatory, strictly out of curiosity because I agree for the most part with looking past measurables to some extent to keep local ballers home, but has anyone actually been tracking these 5'8" corners that we seemingly are up in arms every year about not taking after they lead the county in INT's for example? Have any of them actually been good in college yet? Seems like in his 5th recruiting cycle by now someone(s) would have emerged to prove golden's philosophy on this wrong.

We've only discussed 2, if I recall: Hoggins and Dowels. I don't think too many on the board were high on T. Washington from Killian, despite getting a lot of PT as a true freshman at Louisville. Height isn't the only thing that's keeping us from offering these kids. I think the staff just doesn't like enough them as prospects. At cornerback, we've offered Lammons, Bethel, the corner from belle glade that went to Maryland, Irvin (starting at NB for Auburn), and Davis who are all the same height or shorter than Bandy. All of those kids started for their programs as true freshman, except for the one that we took in Davis. Not sure if Davis was a camp eval, either smh. Also, Bandy had better offers as a junior than some of those 5'8" players that we've offered.

McWilliams has never worked out for UF's staff and won't do so at FNL. Best guess is that he was going to get pushed out if he didn't work out. Him, Tisdale, and Wells look to be guys who probably won't end up in our class. Haven't seen film on him but heard he's better than 2 stars.

Better than 2 stars...yes...barely
good enough for UF or UM...no

USF/FAU would be a good landing spot for him

Yeah, Will Likely. Didn't mention McKenzie because we're talking about corners.

Ricardo Allen turned out pretty good and went on to be drafted in the 3rd round... I don't remember if it was Randy's last class or Fat Al's first... Either way both shy away from smaller corners who would die to come here and ball out. But because they are an inch or 2 too short to their liking they say no and they go on to have all American careers. Another one is the dude who just graduated from Va Tech but his name escapes me. He was their best CB for the last few years. Jayron Hosley maybe?

This staff shouldn't be interested in a kid who may be pushed out of UF's class, especially if we really are the frontrunners to land an early verbal from Ladler as suspected. Ladler/Byrd are elite and Jackson has tremendous physical tools/upside.

We could certainly use a fourth corner in this class considering how badly the coaches have recruited the position these past couple recruiting cycles, but I'd hope they'd aim higher.

I get to see a lot of UMD, living in Baltimore, and Will Likely is an absolute stud. He may only be all of 5'7'' but the kid has done nothing but make plays from the second he stepped on campus. Not everyone can play big time ball as small as he is but he's an exceptional football player and I think a lot of locals would have told you the same thing when he was in high school.

Belle Glades should never turn kids down from belle glades all they do is ball

Randy era, but Joyner was overlooked due to his size and everyone knew he would be a stud.

Coached Joyner in 7v7. Talked to him and overheard him talking about recruiting a few times. He was a 5-star and obviously had an offer, but was never interested. FSU was his dream school and the only other team that ever had a chance was OSU.

If I remember correctly Allen wasn't really that fast... He has a great career but gave up a lot of yards... Purdue was the best option for him... I don't think he would have done well here but that's just me... Hosely was a massive miss... We could of used that kid I remember watching us play VT and the announcers stated he was an FSU fan and always hated Miami... I don't know if it was sour grapes or what....

This is a lie man... I posted a YouTube video a few months back when he was at Southwest... Joyner stated he was never interested in UM until RS and Aubrey Hill started recruiting him... He just never wanted come.... He basically implied he was all FSU... He was the number 1 corner prospect coming out... RS recruited him man...
