CJ Bailey needs to come home

Yes to the first sentence. No one said he won't get better; it's just not what is needed here NOW. We need a guy who can come in as more of a finished product.

I think the staff is looking for someone more finished and with more experience and If all else fails, it sure seems like we are being set up to accept Bailey. I could be totally wrong ......
Id clearly take Leavitt and Sorsby over him for sure but after that it gets a little murky for me.

The team has to believe in the QB , believe he can win, believe he can direct the offense on the field. That's a big part of Cam and Beck's success.
Respect for experience and games won. Respect for the ability to get them out of trouble, lead them to wins.

I get that Bailey is well liked by guys on the team. It doesn't mean they think he can lead them to a Natty.... I'd argue that after this past season's game vs Bailey, it woud work the opposite.
I get that you don’t like him but you’re saying a whole lot of nothing

Are you purposely trying to play the Hater Clown role in this thread?

Beck had one ****** performance where LVille made three ridiculous INTs out of the 4 and the other one was a 4th down just chuck it up.

Talk up Bailey all you want but STFU with the Beck slander in every post.
With the game in his hands, he threw the ball to the other team directly resulting in 2 losses sorry if it makes you butthurt to hear that but Its the truth. He cleaned it up, bounced back & did an excellent job down the stretch ill give him credit for that.

It has been widely reported that Lofton ran the wrong hot route and was the cause of the LVille game ender.

Beck and Toney on the last SMU play weren't on the same page. Beck threw it expecting Toney to flatten the route like he did against ND and he read it as going vertical. That was also the play that Jojo was the 1st read and he was tackled.

This is a thread about Bailey but on at least 10 posts you've brought up Beck. I get it, Beck banged your girl and you're hurt. Time to move on.

Im sorry is Carson Beck above criticism or sumn? I know you love you some Beck but ive already acknowledged that aside from last week he's been on point since the SMU loss and proved to be a good choice from the portal overall. We're on page 86 of discussing a potential transfer QB which Beck was for us, of course his name is gonna come up sometimes duh

Unfortunately, there is some truth to this. The kid has a skill set, but it hasn’t been tapped into or exploited. He comes here he’s a project not a QB1. We already have projects with our recruits. I have said this before, without a dedicated QB coach all the potential in the world is just that.. potential. I’ve gotten s**t for it, but it’s necessary. A coach is just that, coaching, about reads, progressions, release points/angles, repetitions and muscle memory, footwork. This is what coaches do. OC’s deal with philosophy and schemes, X/O’s . Can’t expect results if the roadwork hasn’t been done, by coaches.
No, Im not tripping that's what you wrote mf. Have a good one & Go canes

I do not like Maivia at all. People at USC and around the program want Longstreet.

I’m not aure how he was so highly sought after IMO. I’ve seen him play a bunch and did not come away impressed at all. I thought he was very mediocre at best. Not to mention, USC has really good skill guys (average OL) and nothing Maivia did overly impressed me in the slightest. Pretty much the opposite.

I think there are far better prospects and would expect Miami to pay up again which is fine.

Arm strength is a bit overrated. Does it help absolutely, however I want a high IQ QB who can get the ball out fast and make good reads with anticipation. How many balls a game go more than 40 yards. Not a lot. We need someone with moxie and stones to compete and win.

Has anyone been able to offer a reasonable rebuttal to this yet?
Where does this notion even come from? 2nd highlight in the video is a missile. He does a lot of touch passes with accuracy, but that doesnt mean he doesnt have arm strength.

Also, arm strength is overated. Its nice, but if thats the main complaint, its not a bad one. So many qbs with below average arm strength have been good qbs. Though, im not even really admitting I see low arm strength on Bailey.
